ABOUT ABA CITY

Aba is a very busy commercial city in the southeast Abia State Nigeria. Aba was created in 1991 with two local government areas which are: Aba South and Aba North . Aba South is known to be the heartbeat of Aba city as well as the main centre of the city.

Aba High institutions:

Aba is made up of three major high institutions namely:

• Abia state polytechnic
• Temple Gate polytechnic
• Rhemaa University

Aba major Markets:

• Ekeoha market: Also called "shopping center" it is a large market in Nigeria and across africa for textiles and fabrics.

• Ariaria international market: It is a well known market within the country and beyond, it is a multi-trading market with several kinds of items such as building materials, foot wears, medications, hair materials, electricity, foams, bed sheets, duvets and so on.

• Cemetery market: This is the market for importers, distributors and dealers of wine,deodorant,tin items, food items and so on.

• New market: This is also called "ahia ohuru" in the Igbo dialet. This is the market for different kinds of food items, all available food items in this market are very affordable at friendly prices.

• Alaoji market: This is the market for mainly vehicle particles, it is where spare parts of different vehicles are sold.

Aba is known with a common language Igbo and most times english for easy communications and interactions between traders from other tribes and nations.
