SHEA BUTTER, WHAT IS IT?
You are welcome to my Steemit pag. In this presentation, I will explain to you why I and my family used shea butter.
WHAT IS SHEA BUTTER?
Shea butter is fat that's extracted from the nut of the Shea tree. Shea tree are native to West Africa, and most shea butter still comes from that region. But unlike most nut products, it's very low in proteins that can trigger allergies.

I came in contact with Shea butter in late 1950's and early 1960's at Kuta, in the present Niger State of Nigeria. The Igbos call it " Okwuma', Ori and or Udoli. In Hausa language, it is known as " Maikede. Some people don't like the smell of Shea butter, why?
The natural scent of Shea butter is nutty, and it ranges from mild to wide earthly scent. This scent is very particular and can be a bit pungent. The reason for the natural nutty smell is that Shea butter comes from the nut tree.
