The word adoption came from the word adopt, which means to take something or someone that doesn't belong to you as your own in a legal way and it becomes your own for life.In the cause of this Contest it is adoption of another person child in legal way as your own. Before now, it was only couples who do not have a child of their own that goes for child or children adoption.

But today, Adoption has become a big business that a lady can go to motherless babies home to adopt a child and i will be giving to her. Some adopt to help those children to have a home. While some adopt a child because they are childless. In all adoption means the same thing and the legal process is the same.

You know there is what is called love homorne that exists between parents and their child. it is transferred to a child when the child is born. In the case of adopted child it is not there because he or she was not placed on the heart of the adopted mother immediately after birth to ease her the pain of labour so this new parents will learn to love the child as if it is not biological child.

As the child grow, their love for the child grows too. If this child misbehave, though they will not say it out but within them they will feel, if he is our child, he will not behave this way and if anything happens they got their own child, their love for the adopted child will fade away.

• Adopted child also face insult from his peers that knows that is adopted. Some will tell them those people are not your parents while some will ask him who are you? This child at this age do not have any other place to go than to remain this can cause serious problem in the house and in the community.

As i said earlier, adoption is now a legal busines and each country and each state has their own way of handling it. If anyone follow the right way, even if the child grow tomorrow and decide not to bear his adopted parents names, he will not because it is legal adoption but if it was on the other way round, am sorry for the parents, they have enterd one chance with Government.

So if you need to adopt a child, make sure to follow governmental rules to avoid future problems. Time will fail me if I start to mention those who are into hiding now because of adopting a child in wrong way.

Before now it was not a welcome option for couples that fo not have a child but now it is an option. You will see marriage of just 2 years because no child yet, they will go for adoption. At that early stage of adopting the baby, people will say a lot of things but with time, it becomes old story.

Personally, I don't like adoption. The stress involve in it is much. Sometimes after spending so much to buy the baby, he will die or he has inherited sickness which you will spend money through out your life. Although many have successfully adopt a child and everything worked out well but in some cases, the reality is the opposite.

• If you are going to adopt a child, let it be in agreement with your husband or wife.

• Do not blame your spouse when the child start misbehaving, attack the problem not your spouse.

• Make sure to adopt a child in a legal way to avoid future wahala.

• Love the child as you would love your own child.

• As he grew up, explain to him that you adopted him to give him education, home and love that was not given to him. This is because, if he finds out that he was an adopted child from outsiders, you may not like him again.

• Let their be free Communication between 2 of you. Let him know you love him and you love and care for him too.

• Let him know you as his best friend.

Adoption is like marriag, only the person that want to adopt a child decide if thry want it or not.I will not sugest because tomorrow is too deep, no one knows the outcome. if you can do it but as for me i will not encourage anyone to go into it.

Adoption is sweet and bitter, strong and weak, cry and laugh, good and bad so it is solely the decision of the one going in to it.
