Welcome to this new week of prowriters challenge and this is second week . This is my first entry of the week contest and in this article I will be talking on pollution and how to protect ourselves from different types of pollution

Pollution

---

Pollution is the impactation of harmful/dangerous materials/substance into the environment. The harmful materials that are introduced to the environment are known as habitat. Pollutants are naturally but at times they are being manufactured by humans. Pollution causes imbalance in the environment and can affect living things widely

Types of Air pollution and how it is being polluted in my city

There are different types of pollution and below are they:

• Air Pollution: These is the invention of harmful materials in the air for example when the odour of a urine is an Air pollutant.

Here in my city the air is being polluted in so many ways and few of the ways are below

• River's state is one of the oil producing states in Nigeria and it happens to have different companies and even the Local Refineries where they processes crude oil into its final product locally. They cook the crude oil until it gets to its final stages and in that process smokes in ends into the air reducing oxygen rate and increasing the rate of Carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere causing black sult and human no longer breath in clean air.

• The air here is also polluted with urine. We all know that our urine's produce unpleasant odour but people here tends to urinate anywhere even by the road side and after people passing ends up inhaling the urine's odour

• Land pollution:Land pollution is the introduction of unwanted particles on the land and at times this particles are dangerous because it can cause injuries or even accident

Here in my city people tends to through there refuse any how while some persons park there spoiled vehicles on the roads and street. This unwanted particles like bottle etc can injure someone and the unwanted cares block roads and can cause accidents. That is how lands here are being polluted. When a land space is polluted it makes the space useless not until the pollutants are cleared

• Water pollution:This is the introduction of bad chemical substance into the water and can be dangerous to both humans and fishes. Water pollution is majorly done by humans but at times it's natural

Here in my town water is polluted through oil spillage, fieces and also through urine. At times water is polluted by fishermen who use dangerous chemical substance to hunt fish.
River's state is a home of oil therefore oil spillage occurs several times and making the water unpleasant for fishes and humans.

Why pollution is dangerous

Pollution is very dangerous because it has caused so many damages in the life's of human and animals and below are some of the things that pollution does:

• Pollution has caused caused so many sickness to humans since they no longer breath in fresh air but polluted air

• Pollution has caused soany road accidents since the road is blocked by unwanted refuse cars no longer have enough pass to pass therefore they end up hitting each other etc.

How to protect yourself from different forms of Pollution

---

• People should learn how to put on there nose mask in other to avoid breathing in polluted air

• People should be careful before consuming fishes that they bought because some of the fishes where hunted with chemical substance.

• Drivers should be able to adapt to the unpolluted space in other to avoid accidents.

How Government can help

---

• Government should pass a rule that oil companies should keep there companies far from where humans dwell and should be able to demolish all local Refineries

• Government should build a place where people will through there refuse and keep an eye on the stubborn once who still will like to keep there refuse on the road side and they should also remove spoilt cars that are packed on the road.

• Government should build a public toilet in different places where people will urinate and pass fieces and also warn people to stop urinating and passing out fieces in the water.

Conclusion

Pollution is really dangerous to human health but we humans tends to cause pollution our self. The major pollution here in River's state is Air pollution which is done by local Refineries and oil companies here, that was the reason why Burnaboy a Nigeria singer that is from River's state said in one of his song that "Because of oil and gas my city they so dark".
