In one of the main scenes of the movie "Don't Look Up", we find Dr. "Edward Mindy" and the young scientist "Kate DiBiasky" trying hard to attract the attention of the President of the United States of America and stress that there is a real catastrophe that will cause the extinction of humanity and the earth. The cold provocation tells them that the situation must be evaluated and studied with complete ease. Don't look up

Study with me, dear reader, on this and other situations in the movie Don't Look Up, you will find a true embodiment of reality, even if the ideas of the director and the writer who always oppose “Adam Mackay” are comic and inspired by his imagination, but Adam Mackay’s fertile imagination and his great creative awareness made the matter It is more like the diary of an ordinary person who observes and observes with his own eyes what is happening in the world and the developments in the south.

Similar to what he presented in his previous films “Vice” and “The Big Short”, Adam Mackay brings his quarrelsome pen, his satirical cinematic language, his sharp revolution in content, the exposure of reality and the rampant corruption in everything, but this time he avoids quoting direct details that have already occurred, and presents With the ingenuity of an Oscar-winning filmmaker, a story inspired by his imagination but with reflections on what is going on around us all without leaving anything unspoken.

The result was good, not ideal, with some comical situations fading and some actors not appearing properly, but it was a work that came at the level of the great uproar that called for it and suggested that what you would like to watch “is based on real events that did not happen.” The movie don't look up.

Don't Look Up Movie Review

The scenario of the movie Don't Look Up is characterized by its appropriate handling of the idea in terms of presenting the repercussions of the disaster itself at the political, media and social levels, as well as electronic means such as social media, which has become an integral part of human life. Everyone's imagination is exposed to this content.

Not only that, but we find the scenario’s interest in using time in order to indicate the strange reactions and a state of extreme indifference from everyone to the two main characters on the flaring side and in their decisions stemming from the world’s response to them and their calls with great indifference. This element and what preceded it were found for them “Adam Mackay's perfect balance in the narration process and in a good arrangement of events. Don't look up

Even in the final chapter of the movie Don't look up, we find a complete commitment by "Adam MacKay" to the chances of the state of realism in a frightening imaginary drawing that may appear to some that it is easy to happen at some time or at a time we do not know, and this is what distinguishes the works of “Adam MacKay”, including this work, which left nothing but poured “Adam Mackay” his sharp and sarcastic narration on him in the smallest details and most similar to the current situation.

As some know, Adam Mackay's directorial prowess lies in editing and moving between several shots that simulate reality in a more documentary style, and this is what the movie Don't look up also came out very smoothly, in addition to some scenes in the last chapter of the movie that were good visually The best way is to see what happened from a completely logical end.

The characters of the movie “Don’t look up” may appear to some to be cartoonish, but, of course, the solution is actually close to reality, such as the character of the President of America, who was brilliantly embodied by “Meryl Streep” and her son, played by “Jonah Hill”, as well as the two media personalities who were before them with an exemplary performance “Cate Blanchett.” and Tyler Perry.

The best at the level of the supporting characters is "Mark Rylance" as "Peter Escherwell" with his strange accent and that idiot look that was the cause of the emergence of the comedic element, as well as "Rob Morgan" as Dr. "Oglethorpe" assistant "Kate" and "Robert" in proving The truth about their discovery. Don't look up

“Leonardo DiCaprio” presents a character calibrated for his dramatic nature, but “DiCaprio” mastered the reincarnation of the character with appropriate emotional improvisation and a dialogue language that bears the appropriate amount of seriousness, sorrow and fatigue that “Edward Mennedy” suffers from in order to convey the truth, “Jennifer Lawrence” is also good But it was not effective in the comedic aspect, in contrast to its ability to highlight the angry and stern sense of the character in many of the film's situations, and the harmony with "DiCaprio" as one unit and in the face of the reflections of their words and actions on other characters.

In conclusion, compared to the previous “Adam Mackay” films, Don’t look up is the least of them in terms of content and narrative and narrative philosophy, but it remains a distinguished work that contains reality and its negatives within a pure cinematic image of it, and it will succeed in leaving some positive impressions upon its completion.

Sort:

I thoroughly enjoyed this film and also, sadly, felt as though it was a rather accurate description of the idiocy of the world today. Because of social media, people are too self-absorbed to care about anything other than increasing their number of followers.

Politicians are too worried about the polls to actually tackle the problems that they are hired to deal with.

People discredit scientists that go against political narratives and a lot of really powerful people and companies control what is going on in life for the regular man.

The news isn't interested in reporting the truth until it is too late and they have no choice.

I feel as though Don't Look Up pretty accurately discussed a lot of these issues and this is probably why a lot of professional reviewers lambasted it because it was making fun of their industry and the people who work in it.

Good write up!
