First Curatorial Report of August of Steemgrowth by Team Cosmopolitan
The first week of August has already ended and I'll be presenting the curation report. This week, I can testify that my team members have worked harder than ever before. We have kept a strict check on all the posts, the comments and have coordinated even better. Before starting with the statistics, I'll share the experience of our first week and how did the users find it.
From last week we strictly set a curating criteria that we also had in July but were lenient on it. From the first week of August we made it crystal clear that a post will NOT be curated if it doesn't a Single comment on it. We found numerous posts that didn't have any comments. There were complaints when we left this comment on posts which had no engagement.
We are not against quality content, but we encourage engagement as well. A post that hasn't received any comments in the past 10 hours will not be curated by us. Now comes the complaints. That what if the post recieves comments after the team Cosmopolitan has left a comment on the post. For that I have created and managing a seperate channel on our discord, named, Skipped posts. On this channel any post that wasn't curated due to no comments, is sent and then rechecked by the next team member in line and is curated if it has a comment on it.
Here's an example of the comment that we'll leave on posts that receive comments after we have visited that post.
In this way, we're maximizing our reach as well as motivating people to engage more. As a matter of fact, this week we curated more posts compared to the last week. Let's head on to the statistics. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

@ijelady publication is about using the opportunity at hand to recruit and help newbies in the early stage of their steemit journey. Most catching in her publication is the tool used to reach out and promote steemit in her community. With the use of phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and voice notes, she was able to recruit and revamp a dormant steemian. @ijelady went ahead to propose strategies that communities can use to retain new steemians. Retaining steemian has been a big challenge in several communities on the steemit platform. I hope this publication goes a long way to help the community leaders retain steemians on the platform.-@fombae

While curating today, I came across @simonnwigwe's post, which is worthy of nomination. He has been promoting Steem lately, and this time he did so by holding a seminar for the corps members of environmental sanitation and protection (EPS). He was able to sign up 10 users at the seminar, of which 2 published their introduction posts. Along with this, he discussed his power up activities and highlighted his goal of reaching 20k Steem Power before the end of the year, he intend to keep powering up all his earnings and join #club100. Commenting falls in line with steemgrowth, which I think steemians should start seeing that we are in line with the objective of the platform.
