To change the style, we must think and innovate. At Shanadesign, we like to be inspired, threads, scissors, and to sew.
Today I want to show a very cool transformation that I did with an old blouse, so as not to have to throw it away, it occurred to me to make a modern garment out of it.
It is a pretty cool blouse since it is made of a fabric called chiffon that is almost transparent, so even though it will have long sleeves it is not uncomfortable to wear, in hot season.
We will use few things, only the blouse, scissors, elastic, thread and sewing machine or needle in case we do not have the machine.
First, as the blouse is double, we are going to detach the inside blouse from the outside, carefully, so as not to cut either of the two.
Once we have separated the two blouses, we proceed to make the necessary cuts to assemble a new garment, in this case we are going to make a gathered top with long and wide sleeves, so that in the prime and largest blouse we will make a cut In the center, as we can see in the image, in the same way in the blouse that does not have sleeves, we cut horizontally as indicated by the white lines.
We put aside the sleeveless blouse to make the sleeves with the first blouse, we cut off the sleeves and also the excess.
Then, we will have the sleeves ready to sew, and we take the rectangle that we had left of the sleeveless blouse and we assemble our blouse so that we know how it is going and also how we are going to place the elastic.
Finally we are going to start sewing, and grab the hem to whatever you need and place elastic in the parts where it is shown in the previous image, this will obviously depend on the body of each person.

This is where we conclude our work for today. We already have our blouse ready and this is how we have it, it looks small but remember that it has elastic, that is, it stretches a lot.
