Witchcraft

So many women throughout the ages have been accused of witchcraft. Many have literally burned by being accused of such a thing.
In the middle ages - you know, the dark ones, - we lost so much knowledge about natural healing and plants and all of these wonderful things women told each other and practiced all their lives.
Those women were powerful and the male doctors trying to make their point, accused them of witchcraft.
Somehow letting blood over and over again did not make a person healthy - it sure did make those doctors wealthy.
The women who knew how to help were gone and still, we have the consequences in our medical system.
We take the drugs instead of first trying the herbs or whatever else might be there to help us.
And those drugs have made us as a society sicker and sicker and sicker.
Don't get me wrong. I am not a witch who knows all there is to know about healing. Not at all. And there is lots of good in modern medicine.
Just saying that by burning the witches we lost so much knowledge that could help all of us now to stay healthier.
let's begin with food - but that is boring and a whole other topic and nobody wants to give up their pop tarts and whatever other sugar-laden thingy they like to eat. That just would be too hard to do to control the diabetes even kids suffer from now.
Interesting fact. there is a revival in people seeking herbal knowledge - and many of the leading "experts" are men.
So all we needed to do all along is to get men into anything we don't take seriously because it's a women's thing and suddenly it becomes legit.
OOps, I am still mad it seems. Haven't been freewriting much since I am mostly mad about things... 🤪

Sort:

The knowledge is still there. A part is stolen by big pharma. Penicillin for example and all those vitamins and minerals on prescription (not as good and chemical today).
With common sense we know what to do. What not to take. The witchesweren't all killed because even those who did burn them needed the real good witches.
Many innocent people died men included. All people with an oppinion of their own, who did know better. This doesn't mean they can cure everyone since dying is part of life but I agree we put too much trust in big pharma, doctors who do not per se know better.

true. some is still around and lots got used by big pharma. But the general knowledge of healing pretty much every family had is lost.
Instead of using a gentle method of (insert any home remedy here) as a first
defense, people go for heavy-duty drugs right away...
But I think we agree anyway.

We agree and you know what? We changed. We hardly take meds. Painkillers for example never worked for me. There are herbs that cause us allergies but that might have to do with all the pesticides too. Nature offers a lot worth trying and if not a more scheduled life, more sleep, avoiding as much stress as possible is a good start too (plus not eating too much).
'Too' never does good.

I have my home made syrups (poppy) for a great nightrest, coughing and so on we just don't need it. Never catch a cold or had the flu. A warm watter bag is the most simple and effective help we use.

Happy day to you. 🍀💖

Witch doctors were men who used black magic to stop the true healers from practicing. Ironically, true magic was used to stop the women who were wrongly accused of using magic!

Witch doctors were the beginnings of our medical system today, whipping up potions that would change a situation quickly, magically. This is why I say that western med is black magic, especially vaccination.

It seems that mostly women ended up being burned - or drowned for that matter...

Well put ma'am.. 😊

Grazy kinda but killing it dear
