Cinema at home / Power of Movies
What else can we do at home being lockdown for months? We had tried board games after board games, basketballs at home, books and revision, but nothing beats watching a movie. For your information, we had been staying at home for monthssss, the children had not gone out and in fact, they are not allowed to enter malls. Most playgrounds are closed, adults still can go for running but stay 1 metre apart. Of course, we won't bring our kids out if the cases are high daily. Today, it is 15k new Covid19 cases.

Movie Day At Home
We had always love a simple outing to cinema. Since cinemas are closed, we do it at home. There is just something about movie. The freewriting's prompt described it well. The power of movies. We would turn off the lights, close the curtain so that the living hall is slightly dark, switch on air-conditioning, have some snacks like popcorns or chips (I will have a cup of coffee beside me).
When we come for a movie together, it always create one type of happiness words can't truly describe. We had had some movie days at home now. And everytime it was precious moments together. We shared feelings and thoughts and excitement together. The togetherness. I love it!
So far, we have watched according to chronology 'The Mitchell's versus The Machines', 'Fearless', 'Wish Dragon', 'Blue Miracle', 'Spiderman Homecoming', 'We can be Hero' and 'The Amazing Spiderman 1'. Next up will be either 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' or 'The Karate Kid'. We use Netflix since we have paid for it by monthly subscription.
Surprisingly, the boys love movie which is according to real life, like 'The Blue Miracle' and it truly opened their eyes wide when they get to watch people's real lifr struggle through a movie. Just as much as reading books can teach us a lot, there is power in watching movies too. We get to grasp life in a real way. We get to talk about life as a family.
Some photos of the movie we watched.
I also enjoy the power of freedom watching movie at home because I can just sit cross-legged on my sofa. Such luxury for this stressful pandemic life. 😊 We look forward to the next one.

You provide a nice glimpse at what's happening elsewhere (for me) in the world. Are you currently locked down? Or is this more a reflection of what it was like last year?
