Hello steemian friends wherever you are, meet again with me @iqbal-pasee, one of the atomians member in Indonesia.

On this occasion I will continue to discuss the risk factors for stroke, namely cholesterol.

From various studies, it is reported that cholesterol is a substance that consistently causes the risk of stroke to increase.

Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is three-quarters of which is produced from within our bodies, in the liver and one-fourth is needed by food intake

Cholesterol in the blood is divided into two, namely:

  • HDL (High Density Lipoprotein), which is often referred to as good cholesterol,

  • LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein), which is also often referred to as bad cholesterol.

Low HDL levels and high LDL levels are usually associated with an increased risk of stroke.

High LDL levels will cause the accumulation of cholesterol and plaque in the blood vessels and will also lead to atherosclerosis.

Atherosclerosis itself can result from:

  • Habit of eating high fat foods.
  • Obesity
  • Lack of exercise
  • Smoke
  • Alcohol
  • And also stress

Well, of course now you understand better, right? That it's best when we fast we still have to maintain a diet and keep exercising.
