Delicious Oven Beef Stew at Home
Ingredients
Beef fillet
Flour
Olive oil
Garlic
Onions
Celery
Carrots
Thyme
Tomatoes
Red wine
Beef broth
Fresh bay leaves
Salt
Ground black pepper
Cooking
Cut the fillets into small cubes and roll completely in flour.
Heat olive oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat. Broil the beef for 5 minutes, turning the pieces of meat occasionally until they are browned. Then add the meat from the saucepan.
Chop the garlic, cut the onions in half and chop the celery coarsely. Peel the carrots and cut into thick slices.
Pour some more oil into the saucepan and place the vegetables in it. Add thyme leaves to these and cook for 10-15 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
Add the beef, sifted tomatoes and red wine to the vegetables and stir. Once the liquid has evaporated, add the broth, and bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper and place the stew in an oven preheated to 160 ° C for 3-4 hours. Finished meat should be soft.
