WSP - A Propose Budget to Upgrade Already Installed 1000 Solar PV System In Nigeria [18th August, 2022]

Greetings Friends,

Due to the Recent development of the 1000Watt Solar PV Installed at Nwanniba, Uyo, Nigeria Which calls for an Upgrade, a budget plan is Needed in other to know how much Would be needed in other to realize this upgrade.

A post Was made Some days back by ubongudofot( WSP leader For Nigeria) Entitled :1000 Watt Solar PV Installation at Nwanniba Uyo Feedback And the Next Plan !!.

That Post Was focused on the reasons why this Upgrade is Needed.

But for More Clarifications and Emphasize, this Publication will Spell out Some of the reasons why this Upgrade is needed.

So far, Solar PV is working to the best of its ability, serving 20 to 40 people daily in the zone.

And at night, it limits its beneficiaries due to the fast Voltage drop since there is no Sunlight at night unless the stored Charges which is only able to Serve a few people.

Also, Since Nigeria is in a Rainy Season, It rains almost every day and that affects the battery Charging Process which results in Power Interruption.

Basically, the system runs for roughly 15 hours daily, each time powering a load of about 700watts or less.

So estimated daily energy used is around 10.5 kWh and at Some point, Some loads are relieved in other not to weaken the battery lifespan.

Solution ?

The Solar PV System needs to be upgraded. Below are the Components Needed and their Prices.

Prices can rise since they are imported. Globally prices are unsteady these days, especially in Nigeria. So, the prices mentioned above are based on the 18th August 2022 price.

Project Implementation Stages

After the disbursement of Funds, the project is scheduled to go through the stages below:
• Shipping the equipment and materials to the site from the depot.
• Installation of the plant
• Testing of the plant
