My day at work helping people to mitigate water and soil pollution. Diary of 13 october
Today morning I got up early to the very sharp rays of sun piercing the curtains of my room and striking my eyes and I got up without any delay by getting out of the bed. I got up and went to perform the ablution to offer the morning prayers to thank my creator who has given me life to live. As the days are getting shorter day by day and I get a little time for my routine chores in the morning with every passing day and thus I always am in a hurry to finish my morning chores . I somehow managed to have my breakfast in a hurry and did not go on a walk today because I had to leave for office on time. I had my breakfast quickly so as to spare more time for the morning current affairs class and as I finished my class I got ready for office and I left for the same at around 9:30 a.m..
As I reached office I firstly started doing my routine document work and then I left with my technical team for the surrounding villages that come under our jurisdiction to physically verify the various developmental projects that are going on. The main projects we have under taken these days are the soakage pits and the compost pits to mitigate the water and the soil pollution in rural areas in which we have very little means to accommodate the slid and liquid wastes and therefore the government is vehemently undertaking such initiative to curb such problems.
physical verification of pits
We went to a few villages that are in the vicinity of our block headquarter and verified the physical existence of these pits which were constructed a few days back under the world's largest employment program MGNREGA. In this program every unemployed youth of the nation living in the rural areas gets 100 days of employment in a year in his own village. This not only help us to curb the problem of unemployment but also help us to develop our rural areas by creating new assets by deploying the local youth in these works. According to the newly proposed plan every household who come under the below poverty line category were asked to construct a compost and a soakage pit each and all its costs were to be bared by the government under the convergence of two schemes that is MGNREGA and Swachh Bharat mission SBM.
demarcation of construction site for the segregation shed
After finishing the physical verification of these pits we went to another village to locate a site for construction of segregation plant where we can segregate the solid waste coming out of households in that village. We along with the elected representatives of that village went to see the site and also draw the alignment for the construction of the proposed segregation shed.

Later on we also went to form an estimate of to be constructed road in the same village which will connect the rural population of that village with the other surrounding villages and will boost its economy and also result in its development. It was a long pending demand of people and was thus undertaken on priority basis.

Later I came home at around 5:00 p.m. and then after getting fresh had a cup of hot tea to relax my nerves as I was very exhausted during the day. Later on I resumed my studies till my dinner at 9:30 p.m. and then after going through the social media for a while I went to sleep at around 11:45 p.m..
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
