Things in life that cannot be rejected (The Mourning Days of Our Family)

I brought out my two little princesses to avoid them from stressful conditions once in a while, they need space to play

Life cannot be predicted and just needs to be faced with a head up, and do what needs to be done. No need to complain about things that happen

One accident has not settled yet, and another sad event arises which also drains energy and mentality. The proverb says "Misfortune cannot be rejected". This is what we have had to face in the last few weeks.

My sister's healing is still in the process after arm bone surgery (Dextral humerus fracture + shoulder dislocation), something else has happened and this is beyond all of our control. On July 22nd at around 4 am, my uncle passed away due to Coronary Heart Failure (at least that is what the team of expert doctors said).

These consecutive incidents really drained our family's energy. Meanwhile, our mother's health condition is also not good at the moment. For me, this is something that must be endured, not to be complained about or regretted while a solution is not sought to resolve this current problem.

We are all mourning the passing of our uncle (my mother's cousin), and we try our best to help in whatever is possible, especially with preparation and financial support. Helping prepare a place for people who came to pray for our uncle Abdullah bin Yakob. In our culture, the activity of praying for people who have died will be carried out for 7 days and 7 nights. During this mourning period, we also prepared meals for visiting guests who offered prayers and condolences to our uncle.

In our uncle's house just after performing prayer, we provide meals to the visitors. I took this photograph secretly because it is just not right to take a photo and publish it

Today has been the 3rd day of our uncle's death, and our family also prays with the visitors. With the hope that our uncle will be easier on his journey to the afterlife (we as Muslims believe in this final day completely and confidently). I don't want to compare religious beliefs, but these are the beliefs and faith that we have. Meanwhile, if you have other beliefs, it is your right as a free human being to choose what you believe.

During this period of mourning, we as a family have received a lot of assistance as a form of cooperation from our village community in alleviating the burden that happened to community members in one village. This will also apply the same if this thing happens to another family, of course, we will also come to help. This is a form of solidarity that is very rarely seen among people living in big cities. However, for those of us who live in villages like where I live, this is still a tradition that is well maintained.

There are many positive values built by our elders if we are still willing to maintain and implement them. For example, if one of our neighbors is experiencing a serious problem or misfortune, then other community members will voluntarily come to help with what they can. I am grateful to live in an area that still has a high sense of togetherness and humanity.

During this period of mourning, I was also rarely able to focus and be active on this platform except after 10 pm and even then I was not too tired to open a steemit account and only did things that I considered important to see.

Through this post, I also apologize to the management of the two communities, Steem For Better Life and Steem SEA, for not being able to actively help sustain activities in these two communities; @heriadi @irawandedy @anroja . I also apologize to @sofian88 for not being able to follow up on the results of the joint meeting we held on July 20. Hopefully, we can carry out the next meeting as planned.
