Power up || Powering up 179 steems to hit 3,316 SP

It's another monthly power up of steems. It's not that easy to grow our steem power but it can be very possible if we set targets for ourselves and work towards achieving that target. I was on a monthly Challenge which helped me grow my steem power of which I then powered up.

I made 250 steem power, 350 steems from the challenge. I then decided to power up the steems I acquired to maintain the club5050 leaving me with 179 steems. How did I achieve this, from a steem power of 2850 to 3300+ in a month? These are what helped me and contributed to my growth. You too can attain this....

Setting targets

Setting targets is an integral aspect of growing one's steem power. You can't just say you want to achieve a particular amount of Steem monthly or weekly and yet, you're doing nothing about it. You just create contents at your convenience.... No..... Setting targets is what helped me. How?

There's this challenge I organized in steemkids and parents community on growing our steem power. This challenge has really helped me and others grow our steem power. I did this by;

• setting the amount of Steem power I want to acquire in a month

• setting the number of posts I'll be creating on a weekly basis to achieve this

• joining contests that give steems and Steem power as rewards.

• making estimates. If I'm to make 100 steem in a month, i'll need to make 25 steem power in a week for 4 weeks to achieve this.

• joining a club that would help you attain such steem power.

• being consistent so as to hit 25 steem power every week and lot more.....

Setting these targets has really helped me a lot.

Power up

Powering up the steems I acquired is what I did after the challenge. I powered up 179 steems to hit my target of 3k SP plus. My happiness knew no bounds acquiring this. At first, I had 3,169 SP after claiming pending rewards, so on powering up 179 steems I was able to hit this target of 3,316 SP. This is how I powered up.

• I first logged into my Steemit wallet with my master password.

• After logging in, I clicked on the drop down arrow close to my steem icon and then clicked on Power Up.

• The next page that appeared showed me the amount of steems I want to power up. I inputted 179 steems as that was the balance and then confirm the transaction before powering up.
  

• After processing the transaction, the steems were converted to steem power.

In conclusion, setting targets and being consistent on the platform is a way of growing your steem power. This is especially necessary for the newbies on this platform. I'll implore you guys join my challenge in steemkids and parents community tomorrow as the June Challenge would commence.
