Aceh Government Hands Over Symbolically Livable Houses to Islamic Relief, Assistance from Australian Muslims.
The Aceh Provincial Government, through the Social Service, symbolically handed over 1 unit of Livable Housing (RLH) assistance established by Islamic Relief Indonesia which was supported by Islamic Relief Australia. The handover was carried out by the Head of the Aceh Social Service, Dr. Muslem, S.Ag, M.Pd, Thursday, (11/7) in Lambheue Village, Aceh Besar.
This 36M2 type earthquake resistant house was received by Mawardah (32), who was witnessed by the Islamic Relief Coordinator for the Aceh region, the Village Head (Keuchik), the District Secretary (Sekcam), the Military District Commander (Danramil), the Sector Police (Polsek), and the Head of Division (Kabid ) Handling the Poor and Aceh District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK).
In his message, the Head of the Aceh Social Service (Kadinsos), Dr. Muslem reminded aid recipients to always be grateful for the housing assistance they have received. According to him, this housing assistance is currently in great demand by residents in other areas, but due to the kindness of the Islamic Relief party, this assistance is being prioritized for residents in Lambheu.
He hopes that this house assistance can improve the living conditions of the widow of two children.
"Hopefully having this house will make it easier for you to raise your young children and care for your elderly parents," he said.
Not only that, the Head of the Muslem District also ensured that the PPKS recipients of the houses were included in other social assistance schemes that they were entitled to receive. He instructed the local TKSK to monitor and accompany the verification process for their residents.
On the other hand, Yusrizal, who is the Islamic relief coordinator for the Aceh region, explained that the aid house in Aceh Besar is one of the 55 houses that we will help in Aceh Besar and North Aceh.
He said, this program is a form of good collaboration between Islamic Relief Australia and the Aceh Government and TKSK, who always work together to do the best for the community. Apart from building houses, the party also provided funds amounting to 6,500,000 to purchase equipment/house property.
"This house is a trust given to us by Muslims in Australia, through Islamic relief, and we conveyed it to Mrs. Mawaddah. I hope this house can be looked after, and that Mother and her family will be happy in it."
It is known that the process of building this house started last April and was only completed in June 2024. This assistance is a project from Zakpofh, which uses a budget of 78,000,000 for each unit.
