Travel Memories: Corridor Inside a Danish Castle

In these days of quarantines and restricted movement, it seems like so long ago that we could last go anywhere.

Certain travel memories stand out, as do certain images. For some reason, I have always remembered this very long gallery corridor in the Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, Denmark.

I remember wondering how — with all those windows, and no fireplaces — they could have kept that warm at all, during Danish winters.

There is a stark beauty to it, though.
