Welcome to my blog today. I'm delighted to participate in the contest organised in this community called Stars of Steem. I think this is my very first post in this community and for that reason, I want to say a very big thank you to the steemit team for the initiative of this engagement. I'm not certain that I would have had the opportunity to post here if not for the engagement challenge.

This is the first week of the engagement challenge and the theme of discussion says Come and I'll show you how to do it! After seeing a lot of posts over the few years I joined this amazing platform, I notice that a whole lot of people don't create a unique cover image for their articles instead they download copy-free images and use them on their posts. Because of this, I have come up with this tutorial to guide us on how to use PowerPoint and create our cover page.

PowerPoint as we know is a presentation package that is used majorly in seminars and every other occasion because it captures the main context of the message you are passing. When you use a PowerPoint to design your cover page, it captures the attention of the readers because of how it is designed. In this article today with much time wasted, I will be showing you step-by-step how to create your cover image using this powerful tool.

If you are not computer literate, you don't need to be scared because the steps are very easy and straightforward. I made it in such a way that even if you are seeking a system for the first time you can be able to create your cover page yourself. Let's dive into the business of the day without wasting much of our time.

Step Number 1:- Ensure that your computer is on and if you are using it for the first time enquire from someone who has some basic knowledge if Microsoft office is installed on it. If yes then you can move to step number 2, if not you have to install it first.

Step Number 2:- Click on the window button on the keyboard as you can see in the screenshot below.

Step Number 3:- A search menu like the screenshot below will display, then type the keyword PowerPoint and the application will display just click on it.

Step Number 4:- Immediately open the PowerPoint with a list of layers with names blank presentation, facet, integral, Ion, etc will display as seen in the screenshot below. Select any of your choices in my case I'm selecting facet.

Step Number 5:- Once the facet is clicked, another window will display like the one below, select the design you want and then click on the create button.

Step Number 6:- The environment will display as in the screenshot below, you are required to click any of the boxes and add your write-up.

Step Number 7:- After writing, at the home menu which I have indicated using the arrow, you can perform some sort of actions like changing the font both size and face, changing the font colour etc. Just customize it to your test.

Step Number 8:- This final step is not too necessary, I said this because it has to do with your design. If the design is okay for you then you just screenshot it but if it's not okay, just click on the design menu as you can see in the screenshot below and then select among the list of designs anyone that suits your test and that will be all.

Note: You can use the snipping tool to make your screenshot. You can access this tool in the same way we access the PowerPoint program which is steps number 2 and 3. In this case, you are typing the name snipping tool in step number 3 as against PowerPoint we typed earlier.

Creating your cover pages for all your articles is very good because it makes your work more unique. According to one of our professors in the academy @sapwood, every good publication needs a cover page that will be created by the author himself because it helps to tell what content you have in your article.
