Sunday Shopping And Whatnot............. NW Cascade Wanderings

The view as we got out of the car this morning at church looked a little orange. There apparently are quite a few forest fires up north in Canada according to a friend we know who lives there, and I imagine there are a few in Washington state as well. It makes everything look orange.

Church was awesome as usual but the sound system apparently burned up on them. They were able to get sound for a guitar, vocal and the pastor, but the rest of the worship team sat it out. We knew something was off because there was at first, a lot of distortion with Rachel’s voice. They eventually figured that out and it got better. We still analyze what’s going on when we notice issues. It’s kind of funny in a way. 😁

After church, we set out for home because Phoenix needed brunch and to go out. I also needed to do an update to the windows computer for a node we run. Then we headed to Costco as I recently discovered I was dangerously low on almond and coconut milk.

It was fairly crowded as it always is, so we began wandering aisles to get some steps and to see what was new. Believe it or not, I found Christmas there! 🙀

There was more but I didn’t take the pics. It’s almost as if Halloween and Thanksgiving aren’t even on the calendar! That’s retail for ya!

After we got home, Phoenix helped to unload the car. She loves to inspect packages from the store! If you set bags on the floor and say ‘Phoenix, inspection!’, she will promptly check out each bag, sometimes even twice, to make sure what is in them. It’s funny! 🤣

Then @silvertop took her for a walk. I was a bit behind as I didn’t have appropriate shoes on but went out after they were gone.

She only likes to go one direction with him and not very far, so I took over control of the leash and we set out for a hike. We found this ginormous pine cone!

I also found a cute little ‘shroom!

Later after we were home, Phoenix came up and laid her head on my leg and proceeded to ask for her dinner.

She is such a sweetie! I couldn’t say no and got up to fix it for her. 🐶

Tomorrow will find me roasting a pound of coffee for one of the ladies in my Bible study. I also need to work on my continuing education for opticians and also to work on on my FFL. Never a shortage of stuff to do!
