Caturday Eve!

Yes, it’s Friday! The end of a workweek; the start of a long weekend for many and of course, the day before Caturday!😽 In honor of Caturday Eve, here is one pic to jumpstart tomorrow.

A busy day today at the clinic! The doc did however, for the first time since I can remember, actually had a lunch hour! 🙀 Amazing!! That made for a little bit easier of a day, although I am always busy regardless. No rest for the weary, lol! 😅

For those in the US, it’s the Memorial Day weekend. It’s a time to honor those who have served in the armed forces and are no longer with us. My dad was a vet. He had polio as a child and could not serve on the front line. However, he did serve as a medic in the South Pacific in WWII. He never really related any of his time in the army. He had contracted malaria while serving and suffered the fallout up until the day he died. The week before he unexpectedly passed, he told me one story. They were hungry-food was scarce where he was, and the local beer was a very hardy beer. That’s what they survived on. He was not a drinker. The most I ever saw him drink growing up, was a very rare glass of dinner sherry. The next weekend after he related that to me, he died suddenly while prepping for my mom to come home from the hospital. She had broken her hip and was scheduled to be released. He never showed up to pick her up. You never quite get over losing a parent (or anyone, really).
