SteemFoods Korean Restaurant Review| Unlimited Samgyeopsal at Goryeo-Korean BBQ
Hello, steemit friends of @steemfoods community!
In today's post, let me share with you my "taste of a Korean life" through their famous "Samgyeopsal."
We were just having a usual walk with my fave friend that day when unexpectedly an ordinary day turned out to be special!
While chit-chatting on our way home, content about spicy foods was on the top... and then... oops!... there was a sudden change of angle.
At once, we decided to satisfy our cravings for spicy foods and agreed to "eat our fill" with unlimited Korean BBQ "Samgyeopsal" or grilled "pork belly" at a newly opened Korean restaurant, "Goryeo".
By the way, Samgyeopsal is one of the most popular Korean dishes to Filipinos. It refers to pork belly meat slices grilled right on the table. Perfect for a celebration with long-seen friends, as chit-chatting while doing the grill will be of so much fun!
Let me share with you a quick scan of this newly opened Korean BBQ Restaurant.
Goryeo Restaurant is located just a few steps from the national highway of Datag, Maribago here in our Place Mactan Island. Either which, you're walking or having a ride, their huge cunning posters gave a perfect hint for "spicy lovers" who might be in search of where to "dig in" their cravings.
Aside from those huge posters, friendly staffs were also on constant watch for obvious onlookers prospect as clients. Their hospitality was so refreshing giving you no space to escape. And if you'll just listen to their "smooth-talking", nah! you'll eventually "come in".
Curious, I mean excited about what's inside and to experience the taste of their Korean foods, we both agreed to give it a try.
The interior was neatly designed and was very clean. Though not that spacious, the smell of grilled pork was not suffocating, it actually smells good.
The table was also of a little size that can hardly accommodate the food they've served. I mean the area was only perfect for two but not within a group. Obviously, it was specifically designed for two people only.
There was no " menu" book. Taking orders was made easy with their "menu list" neatly hanged on the walls with a slight angle of elevation not giving you a hard time to read. I highly admired the idea of doing it, since it actually saves you time and space.
We went all the way here to satisfy our cravings and Olah!...it was just authentic.
Just like other restaurants, unlimited Samgyeopsal was offered per head. But here at "Goryeo", it was specified up to three refills only, and that is true to all the dishes found in the package.
They offered unlimited Samgyeopsal worth 330 pesos, about 6-7$ approximately, I think lesser compared to the other Korean restaurant. And that's probably part of their promo to attract more customers as it is just newly opened.
Package with their servings was either pork belly or marinated pork belly, boneless marinated chicken, rice, and side dishes. We were given two options, either we go for marinated pork or just the plane pork. And we both agreed to have the plane pork.
What was strikingly attractive was the "hot and spicy" taste of their foods. The spiciness of their sauce just met the level that suits to what we call "spicy Filipino taste"... and that was just exquisitely delicious!
Just like how they convinced us to "come in", the "inside staffs" were all attentive and kind to attend to our request. Every time we ask for assistance, they're just quick and polite to look after our needs.
In all, we paid a total bill of 780 pesos, which includes 2 cans of sprite drink that cost 60pesos each.
So that's it. Craving satisfied! Thank you so much for your time.
