My native steam cassava with the twist of "preserve salted small fish or ginamos in visayan"

Hello fellow steemians! Hope all of us are okey today in behalf of this pandemic. Today, I am going to borrow the kitchen of my mother for the meantime. Where I cook my recipe today and proudly introducing to @steemfoods community. Presenting my recipe for today "my native steam cassava with the twist of preserve salted small fish or ginamos" in visayan dialect. One of the famous appetizer here in the philippines.

As came from my late ancestors, this recipe called our families signature recipe. Coz it is inherited from my late grandmother to my mother and then to me. So legacy continues, pass and pass and pass and so on so forth.

This recipe of ours has a long long method inorder to make this recipe. Went to my mother's casssava farm inorder to get cassava. See to that it is five months old or more from the date planted. Pulling out from the soil and then unto a step by step processs.

So for the start of this recipe. There are some few materials to be prepared.

native steam pot
banana leaf

Ingredients:

1 kilo scrape cassava
1/4 brown sugar
3 glass of water

And the step by step procedure:

1)separate the cassava roots (cassava), the most important.
2)remove the outer skin using by a knife.
3)wash with water, the skinless cassava in three times.
4)scrape the skinless cassava using a metal scraper.
5)get the scrape cassava and put it into a net strainer.
6)press it strongly, until the cassava juice comes out.
7)dry under direct sunlight for about 30 minutes inorder the moist dried.
8)strain it use with a net.

Mixing procedure:

1)get the fine dried cassava.
2)add 1/8 kilo brown sugar.
3)mix it thoroughly.

And the step by step cooking procedure:

1)heat the native steam pot.

2)put the glasses of water.

3)keep it boil the water.

4)put the ready mix fine scrape cassava.

5)cover it with banana leaf and steam pot cover in a moderate fire.

6)cook for about 10 minutes not exceeding.

7)remove the cooked cassava in the steam pot.

8)ready to serve.

And then the twist, "the preserve salted small fish" preparation.

Ingredients:

3 teaspoon preserve salted small fish
1 pc onion
1 pc lemon
1 pc tomato
1/2 cup vinegar

The twist mixing procedure:

1)put the preserve salted small fish to a plate.
2)add the whole sliced onion into a plate.
3)add the sliced tomato.
4)put the vinegar.
5)squeeze the lemon.
6)ready to serve.
