Hello everyone.
Today I will be promoting my favorite traditional dessert called NKOWOBI.

NKOWOBI is a special delicacy from the igbo land( the Eastern part of nigeria). It is a traditional dessert that is prepared with cow meat (legs,tail) prepared in spicy thick Palmoil sauce and garnished with utazi
NKOWOBI was mostly served in local restaurant and bar in igboland, it was mostly eaten during the evening time were Igbo people come to enjoy themselves after coming back from their daily activities.
WHY IS IT MY FAVORITE.
It is my favorite traditional because it is super spicy,filled with a lot of natural Ingredients and has alot of meat.
HOW MUCH CAN WE GET MY TRADITIONAL DESSERT.
You can get this for 5,000 naira which is 25 steem.
INGREDIENTS
~COW LEGS
~ONE CUP OF UGBA
~8 UTAZI LEAVES
~1 TEASPOON OF EDIBLE POTASH
~1 TEASPOON OF NUTMEG
~1 TEASPOON OF CHILI PEPPER
~8 SCOTCH BONNET PEPPERS
~4 SEEDS OF CALABASH NUTMEG
~HALF CUP OF CRAYFISH
~2 KNORR SEASONING CUBE
~200ml OF PALMOIL
~1 ONION.
~SALT TO TASTE
DETAILS ABOUT SOME NATIVE INGREDIENTS
1.UGBA.
Ugba is an oil bean seed,it is cooked for long hours and shredded before using it in the nkwobi.
2.UTAZI LEAVES
Utazi is a climbing shrub with heart shaped leaves that are broad that has a characteristics of sharp, slightly sweet and bitter taste.
DIRECTIONS.
1.Wash the cow legs.

2.Put the cow legs in a clean pot, season with one seasoning cube, onions and salt to taste. Add a good amount of water to cook the cow legs untill it's soft this should take 45 minutes.
3.Get your mortar and pestle ready to pound some ingredients.
4.put the Calabash nutmeg seed into the mortar and pound it.
5.put the scotch bonnet into the mortar and pound it.
6.Take out the nutmeg-pepper mix out.
7.add the crayfish into the mortar and pound it.
8.Cut the utazi into small size.
9.Check on your meat.
10.dissolve your potash into a little water.
11.Drain the water in a cheese cotton shifter.
12.Get a clean pot and add your Palmoil.
13.Add a little potash water into the palm oil.
14.Stir well to get this Bright orange color.
15.Add your ugba into the sauce
16.Add your nutmeg-pepper mix, crayfish,one seasoning cube, chili pepper and salt to taste into the sauce and stir it.
17.Add the meat into the pot and mix the sauce with it.
18.Transfer the pot to a medium heat and heat up for 1 minute(optional).
Serve your nkwobi in a plate and garnish with the utazi.
Your nkwobi is ready.
