Steem - a house without you / una casa sin ti / ein Haus ohne dich

We are just hours away from the new Hive blockchain opening its doors. After a few hours, days, weeks, of high expectations, of hopes, everything took a surprising turn and this is how I am currently writing this post, before which was a single block, and promised to be eternal and uncensored, get divided into two fractions.

The "eternal" thing was already questioned, after the first severe incident between Justin and the witnesses, when for one or reason another (by protest or punishment), by actions on each side; all of our accounts were inaccessible for a few hours. The "censorship" thing ended up being denied by finding in the Steemit source code the blocking of several accounts and posts that are not to the liking of the new owner of Steemit Inc.

So there is no doubt that it is time to break new ground, as it is evident that this platform will no longer be "decentralized" under its new guardianship.

Justin Sun has had the reputation of being a successful businessman, but I am not sure that this time his "business" was successful. Given the enthusiasm I see in the communities for the launch of Hive and the willingness of many not to use Steem again, I begin to have the feeling of an empty house.

There is a Venezuelan rock group that has a song that I really like. The group is called Caramelos de Cianuro and the song: La Casa (The house). In the chorus the singer says the following:

I also take my bags to undertake this journey and everything seems to indicate that there is no going back. What changes could they to make one come back? Until a couple of days ago there were people willing to sit and listen to proposals, from Sun, to find solutions, but the response was the censorship that came to light…

Well, everything seems to indicate that Sun will be left with an empty shell, because "this house is no longer a home …"

Estamos a escasas horas de que abra sus puertas la nueva cadena de bloques Hive. Luego de unas horas, días, semanas, de mucha expectativa, de esperanzas, todo dio un giro sorprendente y así es como en este momento estoy escribiendo este post, antes de que se divida en dos fracciones, lo que era un solo bloque, que prometía ser eterno y sin censura.

Lo de "eterno" ya quedo en entredicho, luego del primer incidente severo entre Justin y los testigos, cuando por una u otra razón (por protesta o por castigo), por acciones de cada lado; todas nuestras cuentas estuvieron inaccesibles durante unas cuantas horas. Lo de la "censura" terminó de quedar desmentido al encontrar en el código fuente de Steemit el bloqueo a varias cuentas y publicaciones que no son del agrado del nuevo dueño de Steemit Inc.

Así que no cabe duda de que es momento de abrirse caminos, pues es evidente que ya esta plataforma no podrá ser "descentralizada" bajo su nueva tutela.

Justin Sun ha tenido la fama de ser un empresario exitoso, pero no estoy seguro de que en esta ocasión haya sido acertado su "negocio". Ante el entusiasmo que veo en las comunidades por el lanzamiento de Hive y la disposición de muchos de no volver a utilizar Steem, empiezo a tener la sensación de una casa vacía.

Hay un grupo de rock venezolano que tiene una canción que me gusta mucho. El grupo se llama Caramelos de Cianuro y la canción: La Casa. En el coro el cantante dice lo siguiente:

Yo también tomo mis maletas para emprender este viaje y todo parece indicar que no hay vuelta atrás. ¿Qué cambios pudieran hacer que uno volviera? Hasta hace un par de días había gente dispuesta a sentarse a escuchar propuestas, de parte de Sun, para buscar soluciones, pero la respuesta fue la censura que salió a la luz…

Pues todo parece indicar que Sun se quedará con un cascarón vacío, por que "esta casa ya no es un hogar…"

Wir sind nur wenige Stunden davon entfernt dass die neue Hive-Blockchain, ihre Türen öffnet. Nach Stunden, Tagen, Wochen, voll hohen Erwartungen, Hoffnungen, nahm alles eine überraschende Wendung, und so schreibe ich gerade diesen Beitrag, bevor was nur ein Block war, und versprach, ewig und unzensiert zu sein, in zwei Teile geteilt wird.

Das «ewige» Ding wurde bereits nach dem ersten schweren Zwischenfall zwischen Justin und den Witnesses in Frage gestellt, wenn aus dem einen oder anderen Grund (durch Protest oder Bestrafung) durch Handlungen auf jeder Seite; Alle unsere Accounts für einige Stunden nicht erreichbar waren. Die Sache mit der «Zensur» wurde schließlich auch abgelehnt, als im Steemit-Quellcode die Sperrung mehrerer Konten und Beiträge die dem neuen Eigentümer von Steemit Inc. nicht gefallen hatten, festgestellt wurde.

Es besteht also kein Zweifel, dass es Zeit ist, neue Wege zu beschreiten, da es offensichtlich ist, dass diese Plattform unter ihrer neuen Vormundschaft nicht mehr «dezentralisiert» wird.

Justin Sun hatte den Ruf, ein erfolgreicher Geschäftsmann zu sein, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sein «Geschäft» diesmal erfolgreich war. Angesichts der Begeisterung, die ich in den Communities für den Start von Hive sehe, und der Bereitschaft vieler, Steem nicht mehr zu verwenden, habe ich das Gefühl dass es ein leeres Haus wird.

Ich nehme auch meine Taschen mit, um diese Reise zu unternehmen, und alles scheint darauf hinzudeuten, dass es kein Zurück mehr gibt. Welche Veränderungen könnten sie bewirken, damit einer zurückkommt? Bis vor ein paar Tagen gab es Leute, die bereit waren, Vorschläge von Sun zu hören, um Lösungen zu finden, aber die Antwort war die Zensur, die ans Licht kam…

Nun, alles scheint darauf hinzudeuten, dass Sun eine leere Hülle haben wird, denn «dieses Haus ist kein Zuhause mehr…»
