Around the Lagoon

We walked around Rodrigo de Freiras Lagoon in the afternoon...

After yesterday's rain, the temperature was pleasant today. We stopped for lunch at an Arab food kiosk overlooking the waters.

On the way back the sky began to curdle with clouds, wind and even a little rain came in without intimidating the sun that continued to creep in and making the delicate drops look like small shiny crystals...

Even a shy rainbow spied and hung in the distance and I got a breach of light to make these photos that show the characteristic style of the city.

The harmonic composition of buildings, hills, stones, forests, and waters make Rio an unparalleled place and even those who were born and lived here their whole life are never tired of admiring.
