We like to use these as a quick and tasty cover crop.

Radishes are one of the garden plants that will give you the quickest return on your investment. Some varieties can go from seed to radish in as little as about three weeks, which is pretty crazy. Since they are rather cold tolerant, we like to plant some early in the spring in some of our raised beds and then transition the beds to another crop once the radishes are harvested. This was our beds are not laying unused, and the radishes also serve the purpose of a cover crop, preventing the growth of weeds in the bed. We picked a couple recently to enjoy with some other crops. Here's a few photos. Enjoy!
