FRIEND, the most feared foe.

No man is an island, we all need company. Day in day out, we meet new people through social events, social media, schools, businesses, etc. At times, our admiration towards each other may spice up the relationship further to another level. At this point we share not just subject oriented thoughts, but personal ones as well.

This fuels our not so cordial relationship into a formal one, establishing friendship. We then tend to unleashed our layers of insulation and express nothing but tender-heartness towards the fellow. We invite them to our homes, family events, parties, etc.

Most of the time, these type of bonds fulfill our place within the soceity and provide us with a sense of belonging. At times, when in need such connections can also come to our rescue. The are many advantages of having friends.

However, we don't live in a perfect world. We live in an unpredictable one. The person you may think has your back may be holding a type of grudge agianst you of which you may not know about. They say it is the punch you don't see coming that knocks you out. Don't take friendship for granted. Apologise when you are wrong and when offended, accept apologies. Because friendship is like a double edged sword; it can help, it can also hurt.
