Many think that fruits are only those that can be made into juices, not so the tomato. Since I was a child, I have always liked tomatoes. I remember accompanying my grandmother to the market and eating them.

It's an herbaceous plant native to Central America and Mexico, and to the north and northwest of South America; its use as a food began in South America 2,600 years ago. Its name comes from the word náhuatl xītomatl.

The plant is cultivated all over the world for the consumption of its fruit, it can be either fresh or processed in different ways: sauce, puree, juice, dehydrated, canned, etc.

It has a unique peculiar taste, like between acid and salty, but when it is seasoned it tastes much better. It is one of the main ingredients in stews of all kinds of meat, in salads with lettuce and cabbage mainly. You can prepare guasacacas or mojitos for grills and roasts.

There are varieties or types of tomatoes: perita is the most common, apple, cherry is a miniature, ideal tree for juices.

From the tree tomato, it is also known as: tomillo, cigomandra or French tomato. Its color can sometimes vary between red, yellow and orange. Its scientific name is Cyphomandra Betacea.

This type of tomato is best consumed in juice, you can combine it with orange and beetroot. I recommend them. Clear with sugar and must remove all the skin, otherwise it will be bitter.

It helps to prevent early aging, also thanks to its high iron content raises the defenses and is very patched for people with mood or anemia.

This mini tomato is a beauty to see you fall in love, but you have to eat it he he. If you can put it whole in salads, they are mostly spherical. They're grown almost all year round.

They are an excellent source of energy and nutritional properties, provides a high source of vitamin C and lycopene, which reduces the risk of prostate cancer, lung and stomach. Consuming many Cherry tomatoes helps to have better health, especially taking care of our liver and avoiding appendicitis.

Once we get to grow at home. On the market it is not very common to sell them. Here in Chile I have seen this tomato a lot, while in Venezuela it was grown in abundance in very few regions.

I think it's good about the tomatoes because if I keep talking about all of them I don't end up ha ha ha.
