Hello, Steemit's friends:

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Venezuelan. Life in Venezuela has been quite difficult in the last few years. We have a lot of unresolved problems in politics as well as in the social and economic fields. However, the Venezuelan attitude is always proactive.

I make this brief introduction because I feel that the pandemic, caused by the Corona Virus, has increased the number of problems we already had.

The pandemic is not the cause of the problems. The lacks of water, electricity, internet connection, gas, gasoline, food, cash, etc., are problems that already existed but were worsened.

Also, the pandemic quarantine in Venezuela has limited the little mobility we had and that is getting worse every day.

Pero como señalé al principio, el venezolano es proactivo y ha podido esquivar la catástrofe total o ha frenado el colapso venidero.

Por ello, de alguna manera hemos tenido comunicación con nuestros familiares; hemos comprado pocos alimentos a precios de hiperinflación y hemos caminado kilómetros para atender las necesidades más urgentes.

De allí que, en lo que a mí respecta, el lugar al que más deseo ir no está aquí en Venezuela.

El lugar al que más deseo ir es a Toulouse – Francia donde se encuentra una parte importante de mi familia, a quienes no veo desde hace muchos años.

But as I pointed out at the beginning, the Venezuelan is proactive and has been able to avoid total catastrophe or has stopped the coming collapse.

That is why, in some way, we have had communication with our families; we have bought little food at hyper-inflationary prices and have walked miles to meet the most urgent needs.

That is why, as far as I'm concerned, the place I most want to go is not here in Venezuela.

The place I want to go to most is Toulouse - France where is an important part of my family, whom I haven't seen for many years.

La nostalgia llena mi corazón y la esperanza de volver a verlos, una vez más, me emociona.

Será un viaje trasatlántico. Será un viaje complicado por las restricciones aéreas. Será un reencuentro esperado porque ya hemos hablado de ello.

No se trata de un capricho como comer algo anhelado o ir al cine con los amigos o de darme un baño en la playa. Se trata de ir al lugar donde está parte de mi vida y de mi corazón.

Nostalgia fills my heart and the hope of seeing them again, once more, moves me.

It will be a transatlantic journey. It will be a complicated trip because of air restrictions. It will be an expected reunion because we have already talked about it.

It will not be a whim like eating something you long for or going to the movies with friends or taking a bath on the beach. It's about going to the place where it is part of my life and my heart.
