How I made my own tea box • Cómo hice mi propia caja de té

I always talk about how much i wanna do new things during this quarantine but i haven’t really do as much as i would like to. Not because i don’t have time cause i got plenty of it, but mostly because i spend too much time in my own head, which is the worse one can do cause nothing good comes out of overthinking. The key is to stay busy and move, at least that’s what works for me when i feel a little down.

I love tea time cause that’s one time i take for myself and to think and meditate about things i wanna do. I get a lot of inspiration from these moments, these moment that make all the difference. I need that moment to get motivated and keep going, we all need it. For me i get that motivation when i’m surrounded by nature or whenever i get a chance to sit down and have my tea and disconnect from the outside for a moment.

Today i was thinking about how much i wanted a tea box cause i have plenty of them and i don’t really have a place to put them. So i decided to take action and do it. I spent around 2 hours doing it cause i wanted to make sure that the final results was as good as i was picturing it. Here i share the process with you all.

At first i didn’t know what box to use and i was looking for a shoe box, but i realized it was too big and then i thought about using my cereal box cause the size was perfect for it. Then i started to ask myself how would i cover the cereal box. I wanted to do it with a newspaper but i didn’t think it was a good idea cause the paper was just too thin and would fall apart. I started going through my stuff and i found a flyer that someone gave me at a museum and it was so beautiful that i thought it would look perfect.

I had big expectations and i’m proud to show you all what i did cause it takes determination to go out of your own head and do something. I did it. And we all can do it. Take some time during this quarantine and try something new and different. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just enjoy the process.

Siempre hablo sobre cuánto quiero hacer cosas nuevas durante esta cuarentena, pero realmente no he hecho todo lo que me gustaría. No porque no tenga tiempo porque tengo suficiente, sino principalmente porque paso demasiado tiempo en mi cabeza, que es lo peor que uno puede hacer porque nada bueno sale de pensar demasiado. La clave es mantenerse ocupado y moverse, al menos eso es lo que me funciona cuando me siento un poco deprimido.

Me encanta la hora del té porque es la única vez que tomo para mí y para pensar y meditar sobre las cosas que quiero hacer. Me inspiro mucho en estos momentos, estos momentos que marcan la diferencia. Necesito ese momento para motivarme y seguir adelante, todos lo necesitamos. Para mí, obtengo esa motivación cuando estoy rodeado de naturaleza o cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de sentarme y tomar mi té y desconectarme del exterior por un momento.

Hoy estaba pensando cuánto quería una caja de té porque tengo muchos y realmente no tengo un lugar para ponerlos. Así que decidí tomar medidas y hacerlo. Pasé alrededor de 2 horas haciéndolo porque quería asegurarme de que los resultados finales fueran tan buenos como los imaginaba. Aquí comparto el proceso con todos ustedes.

Al principio no sabía qué caja usar y estaba buscando una caja de zapatos, pero me di cuenta de que era demasiado grande y luego pensé en usar mi caja de cereal porque el tamaño era perfecto para ella. Entonces comencé a preguntarme cómo cubriría la caja de cereal. Quería hacerlo con un periódico, pero no pensé que fuera una buena idea porque el papel era demasiado delgado y se vendría abajo. Empecé a revisar mis cosas y encontré un volante que alguien me dio en un museo y era tan hermoso que pensé que se vería perfecto.

Tenía grandes expectativas y estoy orgulloso de mostrarles todo lo que hice porque se necesita determinación para salir de tu propia cabeza y hacer algo. Lo hice. Y todos podemos hacerlo. Tómese un tiempo durante esta cuarentena y pruebe algo nuevo y diferente. No tiene que ser perfecto, solo disfruta el proceso.
