STEEM PROMOTION: MY LOCAL PROMOTION AND RECRUITMENT PLAN- #the100daysofsteem Challenge.

in GEMS4 years ago (edited)

I write now to take part in #the100daysofsteem challenge.

The journey of steem promotion is a renewed one to me. First of all, in my locality, southern Nigeria to be precise, what works for us is open promotion like seminars and online assistance on WhatsApp group. Back in the days, 2017 and early 2018 I had utilized some promotion and recruitment plans which worked, but was frustrated by lack of voting power to encourage the new recruits.

Today, based on experience, I can boldly enumerate the steps that works for us here:

Promotion Plan

∆ Printing of fryers and t-shirts
∆ Recruitment of like minded steemians
∆Drawing target of where to carry out open campaign or seminar
The promotion works more in schools, but since schools are not open yet, churches and shops can be reached. With the fryers and t-shirts, people will get attracted to listen. Here, we believe anything that worth our time must have a printed brand.
Samples of the fryers and t-shirts can be seen below.

On Recruitment Plan

A WhatsApp group was created by me, calledSteemit bloggers. Now, on the fryers above, my number is on it and the steem website is there too. The idea is, anyone that got convinced to join will go to the website and start the registration, then send a WhatsApp message to me via my number. I'll then add them to the WhatsApp group, where I host a webinar on how to successfully register and blog on the steem blockchain.

On Funding

The printing of two t-shirts for a start and 100 copies of fryers will amount to about 10,000 Nigerian naira, which is about 25.64 SBD at the current price of N390/SBD. That can be taken care of from the proceeds of this post if highly curated.

Sustainability is the main deal.

By sustainability I mean how to keep the new recruits blogging and encourage them to bring their friends and loved ones to steem. I created an account @promo-steem as a curating account to curate posts from new recruits, as a way of helping them realize that steem can be a source of alternative income for them. Truth be told, it's hard to find an investor in my locality. Everyone here is trying to survive. But if the surviving succeed, they can become investors.

The major challenge that thwarted my efforts then was funds to power up the @promo-steem account. If there's power on our local account to curate, my people will be motivated to join and blog and I can bet you, great contents from my people will fill this space again and more value will be added to our steem again.

In Conclusion

For me, promoting steem and recruiting people is my passion. I'm willing to do it at anytime. I long to see people, especially the youth do well in creating values in the global environment. I long to see great talents burst out in here, the musicians, artists, educationists, athletes, among others should be found here coming from the locals too. These can attract investors that support talents.

Let's make steem greater than it is!
