Meteor 60 Seconds! — Review

While watching the news, NASA just dropped a bomb: a meteor will strike Earth in 60 seconds and everyone will die. So you get up from your couch, leave home and try to figure out what your last actions will be. Nine different endings can be unlocked depending on what you do. They're all weird and funny.

This little game never tries to take itself seriously, which makes it a wonderful surprise. It's clearly the work of a solo developer who just wanted to put their game out there for others to play. Meteor 60 Seconds lightened up my mood for sure.

What actually helps bring out the fun in the game is how you can get through all the endings very easily. It is not an actual time investment. Download it in a minute, play it for twenty and you will have seen what you were supposed to see.

Here's a little spoiler, though: it's all just a VR game your character is going through! Sort of a personality test. So if you end up killing everybody, saving the planet or smooching every girl's lips, your mother, your nephew and your girlfriend will all be there watching you. Their reaction is a big part of the ending scenes.

The game also offers a final surprise after you've cleared in all possible ways. Believe it or not, it makes a (probably accurate) guess at your own personality! Try it for free on Steam
