Hello, Friends especially Foodies!

Talking about Japanese Bento, here in Indonesia there is a famous branch which is the first Japanese Bento Fast Food Restaurant and it is still popular until now, a legendary, we could say, cause it has been operated since 1985. Wow it’s a long time, even before I born. But nowadays we still couldn’t dine outside here in Jakarta, so last Sunday, mother and I decided to order the Japanese Bento online for our lunch. It was a bit late to order for lunch cause I just realized it when it was almost noon then I finally ordered it (Mom and I both had different thing to do, I was doing my needlework project so I forgot the time). In a hurry at almost 12, I ordered our lunch. And we needed to wait a longer time than it is usually cause near lunch time, many customers ordered from this restaurant too. Sooo finally at almost 1 pm, we could open the chopsticks to enjoy the delicious Japanese bento at home.

THE FOOD

Here how our lunch looked like

Both mom and I ordered bento package. Mom’s was the Premium Set Beef Yakiniku, while mine called Premium Set Seafood Beef Yakiniku. different would be the fried we chose, mom got the chicken katsu, while me, I got the seafood snacks like shrimp roll, ebi tempura and also ekado. Both of the packages completed with the rice and salad, plus cold ocha as the beverages and we also ordered their special chicken tofu soup. We opened and eat the chicken tofu after we finished our lunch so you wouldn’t see it in this picture. Oh yeah this was the first time, we bought it in the new concept box cause they made it more environmental friendly outside.. but inside they still used the plastic box. For the size and practical usage I preferred their older box.

THE TASTE & FLAVOUR

Our bento includes same beef yakiniku but we got different fried snacks and here I try to explain how did they taste

BEEF YAKINIKU

The sliced beef was stirred with sliced onion and also green paprika. It had the tasty authentic yakiniku flavour you could smell and taste, with dominance of savory flavour. The sliced beef was tasty but without fat, we loved it. One of the best dish they had which you should try… It had the same flavour and taste over years, I still could remember the same taste I got when I was a child.

CHICKEN KATSU

It was chicken’s breast deep fried with the crumb or you could say bread flour. It was one of their best with the non greasy fried texture, crunchy outside but soft and tasty with savory flavour until the chicken’s meat. One of their menu that you should try too!

SHRIMP ROLL

It often served with their other packages and most common. It made from shrimp meat inside with the egg around and then deep fried with the crumb flour too. It had solid texture inside but you still could swallow it well and the outer was crunchy too. Not one of our favorite but it was also quite tasty with savory dominance flavour.

EBI TEMPURA

One of my favorite, I’m crazy about tempura. It had crunchy texture outside, soft and savory flavour. Like usually the shrimp inside. The one that disappointed me was only the size of the shrimp they used, it was so small. Ha ha so one would be not enough. This one you should try there too!

EKKADO

Japanese authentic ekado with the quail’s egg as its’ filling, the outer was seafood meat plus the crunchy tofu skin as the wrap. It had tasty savory flavour with the crunchy skin. One you could also order from this restaurant.

Good thing was both our packages also completed with the Japanese Rice – tasty and smell so good, fresh salad – with sour sweet mayonnaise and also cold ocha – so fresh and refreshing actually.

And what, we still had their

CHICKEN TOFU

With soft high quality tofu and chicken, both had savory delicious flavour. So tasty and we often order this menu or their dumpling soup. Once when I was child they also sold gyoza, not a fried or baked gyoza but they just steamed it and it was so good but unfortunately they didn’t sell it anymore…

Good thing is they still have the same recipe for beef yakiniku and their other dishes over decades.

THE PRICE

For our lunch, we paid 115,243 IDR or around after 50k IDR off, but it was fair for their high quality ingredients and also tasty food of course.
