Hope everybody is doing well. By the grace of God, you are all well. I'm much better. Today I came to take the entry in the engagement contest. I found the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 12 Week 6th contests to be great. The contest run by Steem4Nigeria Community is "Steemit Engagement Challenge S12-W6: "My country; My Home." Today I will present my opinion on this challenge by answering some of the questions....
Tell us about your Home (country), a brief history, will be an added advantage
My home and my country is Bangladesh. It is one of the developing countries of South Asia. Although the standard of living of the people is not so good, people can live here peacefully. Over time, our country has gained recognition in the world. Our country is famous all over the world especially for manufacturing of garments. Most people relate to agriculture because my country is green.
Bangladesh has a lot of history to form. The region was originally part of the subcontinent. The subcontinent consists of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. After defeating the last Nawab of the Mughal Empire, the subcontinent Sirajuddaula fell to the British in the Battle of Palashi in 1757. After the end of British rule in 1947, India and Pakistan became two states. Then our Bangladesh was called East Pakistan. After that most of the people of East Pakistan spoke Bengali so there was a language movement in 1952 demanding Bengali language in East Pakistan and many people were martyred there. Since then we have been observing this day on 21st February 1952 as Martyr's Day. Then after many wars in 1971 East Pakistan gained independence from West Pakistan and a state called Bangladesh was formed. This country became independent through the death of about three million people.
Why do you think your country is unique? Share at least 3 points.
Bangladesh is my beloved motherland and Bangladesh is unique to me for many reasons and some of them are:
- Our country Bangladesh is an ever green country. A lot of crops are produced in the soil of this country. Most of the people of this country make a living by producing crops. A lot of trees and crops are produced in the villages of our country. The demand in our country is met and exported to other countries. There are many trees and fruits in full bloom around. And there is natural beauty due to abundant vegetation.
Bangladesh is a country rich in traditional food and culture. Every district of Bangladesh has traditional food which makes the place well known and for which we call those places famous as food. Besides, our country is unique for cultural festivals. People celebrate their own religious festivals and Bengali cultural festivals with great joy.
We have the world's largest beach in Bangladesh which attracts thousands of foreign tourists to visit Cox's Bazar beach every year. You will not find such a big beach in any other country which makes my country unique.
Would you leave your country to settle in another if an opportunity shows up? Back up your answer with reasons.
Even if I get a chance I will never leave my country and settle in another country because Bangladesh is my motherland. I grew up with mother tongue and natural beauty of Bangladesh since childhood, so I am satisfied with my country. I was born in this country and I have many relatives here who will always help me in times of trouble. Bangladesh has an environment that I want to enjoy. I think the natural beauty here beats the beauty of other countries.
What areas of your home (country) would you love to see an improvement?
Every country is constantly developing, but if it does not proceed according to the right plan, the people of the country will suffer at some point. I think it is important to develop more in some areas of our country, among which education is important. Education is the backbone of the nation. A nation can never develop without education and in this case we have to come up with a proper plan. As much as the education system can be improved, the country will move towards the theory. In this regard, the education system needs to be improved the most. Education cannot be gained only by reading books, our morals and behavior are all an education. Most of the people in our country are getting addicted to drugs through education so the government should take various steps in this one way it will progress towards education and correct their behavior.

Not only education but other aspects need to be improved. I think education needs to be improved along with medical field. People of Bangladesh always cross the poverty line and therefore lag behind in the development of our country. Therefore, for the development of the country, poverty must be eliminated first. And in our medical field, people are constantly dying due to lack of proper treatment and affordable medical services. So it is necessary to provide proper medical care to those who are working hard for the development of the country and hence development in medical field is also necessary.

Whenever I read the publications of Bangladeshi brothers, I remember the day of 16 December 1971 when we lost our one part.
But somehow.. it's good that now you are independent and you are living a good life. Wish you good luck 🤞
