My Neighborhood Watch #82 - Reporting Events Around us
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed Reporting Events Around us as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @xkool24
Stay here with me friend let me you about an activity that happened on the 1st of January, 2025 in Akwanga Local government of Nasarawa State.
There are two major tribes in Akwanga town which these two tribes are known as the Gbagi tribe and the Eggon tribe. Each of these tribes has they unique way of dressing, dancing, and appearance when it comes to displaying cultural activities such as dancing and singing.

During traditional/cultural activities like the one I attended, the Gbagi people are the people with things on their legs, waist, and head, whereas the Eggon people are those with nothing on their heads. It was an interesting traditional activity that was carried out by one of the prominent politicians in the community to mark the new year and his birthday celebration.

A dancing competition was held between the Eggon tribe and the Gbagi tribe at the end of the dancing competition, the Eggon tribe was announced as the winner of the competition. The Eggon people became so happy and started jubuliating for winning the dancing competition.
It is really great as you bring to us what is happening around your community. It definitely looks there is a great time that was spent and which is so beautiful to actually see I must confess
