Leverage. They now have to write down the true value of their assets mark to market because the economy has slowed. Since they have leveraged too much their equity will be negative or what any normal company would call bankrupt.

Pretty much the same. As long as small denominations would be best for barter use, unless pre 1967 coins with silver content.
It will take 10,000 Fiat USD's or $100 in Common Coinage to obtain the same One Ounce, $100 U.S. Gold Coin... This tells me you don't understand "my version" of the coming U.S. Monetary Correction... Your answer should have been that you'd prefer the Million Dollars in U.S. Coinage... Oh well... No one sees this coming... By the way... Our Common U.S. Coinage will be used to "make change" for our New Product Line of Silver and Gold Coins...
