Velvet Parachute (Marasmius Elegans)

in Beauty of Creativity9 months ago

I found it around the dim light one cloudy afternoon. This mushroom is closely related to the smaller pinwheel mushrooms. This one was close to the diameter of a nickel. velvet parachute, is a species of fungus in the family Marasmiaceae. It has a reddish-brown cap, and a whitish stipe with white hairs at the base., a large genus of small saprotrophic mushrooms that used to be seen growing on the rotten logs. The name Marasmius itself comes from the Greek word marasmos, meaning "drying out; withering". As we know, mushrooms grow in every habitat, and you certainly don’t need to go to a nature reserve to find your first toadstools: there will more than likely be several species in your garden. The mushrooms bloom from filament-like strands or threads (known as mycelium) that grow in the wood. It is an edible mushroom, but it is fragile and insubstantial that they are not worth harvesting. As most of them grew in the shady spot, I managed to take them out to the light.
