Update #16: Writing Expedition ✍️ The one-eye barber [Part 2]

in Steem Kids & Parentslast year

Experience is something you cannot learn from others, but only yourself

Just like what I talked about last week Thursday, you can not learn something from other people's experience, this is quite true when it comes for stubborn people. They will see that someone that has been doing something bad just had a very awful experience that made them to lose something important to them, be one part of their body or their material property, they won't stop doing bad until they lose something very important to them as well.

I want to continue the story I was talking about last week Thursday and I will end it as well today. David was really a very stubborn boy who never wanted to learn a skill until he was forced by him parents to learn anyone of his choice. He finally began to learn the barbing skill and he wasn't catching up fast. David's boss wasn't happy with him at all because of his unseriousness.

The one-eye barber 2

It was now 4 months David has learnt the work and the only thing he can barb is skin, which shining of men's head, he isn't perfect in shaving anyway. David was always spoiling people's hair, sometimes the two barber's won't be in the salon and David will pretend to the new customer as if he's the barber, just to put the customer's money in his pocket.

David will spoil these new customer's hair and they weren't returning to the barbing salon again. David was wondering why he wasn't catching up but he believed that before the 6 months finally ends, he will learn completely and perfectly.

Seven (7) months later David has learnt half of the work instead of the full thing, the barbers were so disappointed in him and they were always telling him that he's supposed to be in another barbing salon cutting people's hair and getting paid for the service.

David was now perfect in low cut, skin punk, three-step punk, skin low cut and shaving. He doesn't know how to barb other styles like round cut, galax, side-cut and afro.

One very day an argument was going on in the salon and one of the barbers began to fight with a customer that was complaining about something, although it was the customers fault. The barber was barbing before the fight started and it wasn't that customer he was barbing, David who was standing and watching the barbers barbing didn't know when the screw driver they use for setting clippers and others, mistakenly entered his eye.

Everybody rushed him as he screamed and they carried him to a nearby pharmacy. David wasn't happy when he discovered that one of his eyes is blind. The doctor and people around him began to console him. It happened as one of the barbers was using the screen driver and they iron that isn't attached to the body of it, flew out and touched David's eye.

David realized himself after experiencing such a bad thing, he changed for good and told his parents who locked the barber in the cell to bail him out and come and join the other barber in teaching him the skill. Everybody were surprised at David's determination and forgiveness.

David perfectly mastered the work within 2 weeks and he graduated from the place and started barbing in another salon. He became one of the best barbers in town after learning perfectly. David saw that barbing was the reason he has a one eye so he must stick to the business with his full heart and make sure he acquires huge money and fame from the business.

The End

Moral lesson

  • Always learn a skill with seriousness and love.

  • As a barber don't ever fight your customers because customers are always right.

  • Forgiving is a very good act.

  • Don't wait till you experience something yourself before you change.

Conclusion

Probably David won't have been serious with the work if he didn't lose one of his eyes, that's why I started this story with the saying Experience is something you cannot learn from others, but only yourself. David experienced something bad that forced him to learn the skill perfectly if not he won't have progress.
