Greetings everyone!
I see you all having wonderful smiles today. Trust me, I love smiles myself.

INTRODUCTION

I am sure everyone has come across this proverb at some point in their life, but then what is the meaning of the proverb " One good turn deserves another"?

This simply means that when somebody helps you in a circumstance, problem or crisis, you should also return the favour when you get the perfect opportunity.

This is a very related proverb in human existence, particularly when qualities like compassion, sympathy, pity, tenderness kindness and a mindset of helping others are fast vanishing from our society.

When a person performs a good deed towards you or for you, you must never disregard or forget it, no matter how small. Try to look out for the right opportunity to return the good deed to that person.

If the opportunity to return the favour to that person doesn't come true, then you must find a way to pass on the good deed to someone else. It is quite an extraordinary fact in life, that doing or offering a good deed to others always returns some kind of dividend to the individual who has performed the good deed. Thus, you must always repay good with good.

Most individuals go a whole day experiencing spontaneous acts of kindness from others in numerous ways, they can not even comprehend. Be it the simplest act of greeting someone who is walking past them by saying hello and smiling or just someone holding the door open for you to enter behind, kindness is even in the smallest of acts we fail to acknowledge, such as walking away from a fight. There is goodness in all of us, so let's not hide it, just let it spread across everyone.

Here comes my story, hope you are seated and have your popcorn ready.

THE KIND-HEARTED SERVANT

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived an Emperor, a leading figure in his district. But he was very brutal and vicious. He was known for his notorious exploitation of his servants.

As the years roll by, He had a servant who was somewhat modest, loyal, devoted and reliable. Being a strict Master, he treated this servant of his poorly. The servant got sick and tired of the ridiculous treatment from his master, so he ran away.

On his way, as he was passing through a bush, he overheard a cry for help. He tried to run away as he was afraid it was his master's guards looking for him. For a while, he deemed himself an unfortunate fellow. As the cry became calm, he couldn't help but wonder what has happened, so he went out to check for himself.

He saw a man laying helplessly before him, bleeding to the point of death. It seems the man laying had just been robbed and left for dead. The servant exercised boldness and went near the man and carried him to a safe spot and treated his wounds. The man eventually gained consciousness and thanked the fleeing servant.

A few days passed and the servant was apprehended. As he had violated the rules by trying to run away, he was asked to be fed to the wild animals before a hungry hon. As he was being taken to the hon, the man he had earlier helped while fleeing saw the slave; he came down to the servant and freed him. It was then it dons on him that, the man he had helped earlier was superior to his master and was robbed on his way to visit his master. Everyone gathered was stunned to see the strange scenes as the man narrated how the slave had saved him earlier and the slave was set free. He was made captain of his new Master(The very man he saw laying helplessly).

MORAL LESSONS:

From this story, we can see that when the servant helped that unknown man by treating his wounds, he got back the fruits of his goodwill deed, even without expecting it. Thus,

• Do Good without expecting a return
• The act of kindness is a Virtue in its Reward.
• The act of Kindness never goes unrecognized.

So know today that One good turns deserve another.
