Social Studies Lesson 8: Living together as One Family.

Social studies plays a vital role in teaching us about morals and also encourages family to live as one just as we have seen in today's class. A family might be a small unit but we shouldn't forget that this small unit is what makes up the community.

A family not living together can be disastrous and harmful to the society, but thanks to our tutor @udyliciouz who through social studies have taught us reasons we must live together as one family. We also have a famous saying "United we stand and divided we fall", this saying is also applicable to families if we live together as one we will love one another but if we live apart we become very vulnerable.

Living together comes with lots of advantages and makes life easier for every member of the family when compared to Living apart and away from each other.

• Family Reputation, Confidence, Happiness, help build love among family members, protection.

• Family Reputation: A family that leaves apart or is broken does not have a good reputation, the society will not have any regards for family members, some persons will call members of such a family useless and show them no respect neither will they want to render help to members of such family.

• Confidence: Living together help members of the family to build their confidence by helping them to believe in themselves, living together helps the children particularly take me for an example I can stand before the public today thanks to my family, we do our devotions as one but g family and from there I was able to build my confidence.

• Happiness: Living together as one family is fun and anything fun brings happiness, we all have siblings or a parent who is very funny but if we fail to live together then they won't be there to make us laugh or happy at all, living alone or apart can be very boring sometimes.

• Help Build Love Among Family Members: Living together helps promote love amongst family members, if we live together then automatically we have to do things together and tolerate one another, the more we continue to do things together is the more we tend to love each other.

• Protection: My mom normally use a broom to explain everything about protection to us each time my siblings and I are quarreling, a stick of broom is broken easily but brooms tired together cannot be broken therefore we must learn to live together as we are safer that way and we can repel any attack when we live together.

Not living together comes with lots of disadvantages as well and we will be looking into a few of them:

• Lack Of Confidence: Children from a broken home or living apart from their family usually lack confidence in themselves, they find it hard to believe in their capabilities and always doubt themselves.

• No Development In The Family: It's quite difficult to see development in a family that lives apart as the members of the family become selfish and only have themselves in mind and not the entire family.

• Notorious: It has been observed that most Notorious persons were from a family that lives apart or a broken family.

I learnt a lot of accepted conducts from my family and I'd be happy to share.

• Obey rules and regulations anywhere you find yourself.
• Greet everyone that crosses your path, whether younger or older make sure you greet.
