INTRODUCTION

Hi kids and parents! Hope you all are having a nice time in your various weather conditions? That's great! Every day by day, we are directly under the influence of impacts of the weather conditions. The weather may have impact on our decisions to travel, going to work, school, food, farming and so on. It now becomes important for us to get informed about the weather conditions around our various cities so that we could make decisions and stay safe.

Now for this purpose, I'm here to get the steem kids & parents informed on various weather conditions in major cities around the globe. The update is titled: The Weather Pilot and would be done on weekly basis which would cumulatively, capture the weather conditions within the days of the week. The weather pilot comes under the weekly writing Expedition in the weather update category.

Describing the weather

Hearing about the weather had been even before we were born. During the days when we were in highschool, we were thaught about the weather as a topic in geography. We may not had really understood it then. But now, even though we may not have studied about the weather, we have the effects here with us.

Now, what is weather? Weather is the state the atmosphere in a given period of time. The state of the atmosphere that describes the weather includes heat, wind, dryness and the amount of sunshine. Tha weather is also impacted be by seasons and climate.

Instruments for weather forecasting

Below are some of the instruments used for weather forecasting:

• Anemometer: This is used to measure the speed of the wind in a particular area.

• The Thermometer:
  This is used to measure the temperature of an area. The temperature is the magnitude of heat or the magnitude of cold in an area over a period.

• The Barometer:
  This is used to measure the air pressure in a given environment.

• The Hygrometer:

This is an instrument that measures the quantity of water vapor in air or the humidity at a given place.

Weather Protective equipment

We use the weather protective equipment to shield ourselves from the harsh or dangerous effects of the weather. The equipments include the following:

• The umbrella
• The rain coat
• The rain boot
• The helmet
• The hand globe

CONCLUSION

Sometimes in various cities, the weather could be harsh or cold. Always be checking out for the weather in your location before going to work or embarking on a journey. Prepare and get your weather protective equipment ready so as to avert the effects weather conditions could have.
