CONTEST ENTRY ON YOUR FAVORITE SCIENTIST BY @sadiqxylo

in Zero to Infinity3 years ago

Hello to everyone in this community @zero-to-infinity. I'm much grateful to participate in this contest, "Your favorite scientist".

SIR ISAAC NEWTON MY FAVORITE SCIENTIST

Kinematics have made a very big impact on our modern system of living. The lunching of missile and space tour are all possible due the laws of motions Sir Issac Newton discovered. In mechanics he can't be forgotten with law of gravitation.

Isaac Newton was born to a widowed mother after his father died three months before his birth. He was so weak and tiny and so nobody though he could survive.
Sir Isaac Newton was born on christmas day 25 December 1642 and died on 20 March 1726.Newton was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, and an author, described in his time as a natural philosopher. Newton even in this modern time is widely recognised as one of the greatest mathematicians and most authoritative scientists of all time.

Newton's Discoveries

Isaac Newton’s discoveries gave physics its theoretical beginning, granted robust tools to mathematics and created a opening pad for future developments in science and mathematics.

1. The laws of motion

First Law of Motion: Objects in motion will continue moving (or staying still) unless acted upon by an external force.

Second Law of Motion: Force = The acceleration of an object is directly related to the net force and inversely related to it mass.

Third Law of Motion: To every force exerted on a body there is equal but opposite reaction of the force.

2. Law of Gravitation

Using this law and making deductions builded on it, Newton derived Kepler’s empirical laws of planetary motion, which naturally evolved from his gravitational theory. Many people may have observed mangoes and all kinds fruits falling down, before Newton, but none of them followed the broad generalization that it stood for. Even moon falls towards the Earth and Earth towards the Sun, in the same way! That is what Newton figured out. For the first time, someone could explain the rational behind the motion of planets and satellites.

3. Nature of light (Optics)

Newton was engrossed with the field of optics and not bombshell, made some major discoveries. His prime objective was unraveling the nature of light and its properties. Using prisms and lenses, Newton studied the refraction and diffraction of light.

3. Law of Cooling

Mathematical representation of Newton's law of Cooling.
dT/dt = – K (T – Ts)

where, T is temperature of the body, K is a constant, dT/dt is a time derivative representing temperature change and Ts is the temperature of surroundings. (As the body cools it's derivative becomes negative).
The rate of cooling in a body is directly proportional to temperature difference between the body and its surroundings.

4. Binomial Theorem

His first original contribution to mathematics was the advancement of binomial theorem. Through the usage of algebra of finite quantities in an infinite series, he included negative and fractional exponents in the binomial theorem.

5. Calculous

Through invention of Infinitesimal Calculus, Newton provided a mathematical framework which enabled the study of continuous changes. He called it the Science of Fluxions.

6. Neeton - Raphson Method

He also made contributions to numerical analysis in the form of the Newton-Raphson method.

Newton's Inventions

  1. Cat Doors

  2. Perfect Coin

  3. Reflecting Telescope

Why I Choose Isaac Newton as my Favorite Scientist

Sir Isaac Newton was in all field of study. In mathematics, science, philosophy, geography, psychology.

Newton's Famous Quotes

If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.

I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people.

Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy.

Errors are not in the art but in the artificers.

To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction.

Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a right line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it.

This most beautiful system of the sun, planets and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.

I keep the subject of my inquiry constantly before me, and wait till the first dawning opens gradually, by little and little, into a full and clear light.

Truth is ever to be found in simplicity, and not in the multiplicity and confusion of things.

Yet one thing secures us what ever betide, the scriptures assures us that the Lord will provide.

Hope my entry is good enough to earn my some up votes.
