Hello, friends of steemit! Hope all are well.
Today I have noticed that our hand-wash bottle has become empty. So I went out to the nearest variety store. This store-shop is about 1 km away from my home. The owner of the store very familiar to me. His name is Bishal. He is a very friendly and gentle person.
When I come to his shop, he always talk to me by keeping a sweet smile in his face. I take a photo of his smiled face and told him that I am going to post on my blog. He gave me the permission.
I told him to give me a 170 ml size hand-wash packet. I have noticed that from the last few months the price of these detergent type product goes high. No one is saying anything against it. Day by day we are growing up a tendency on us that not to protest this arbitrariness of this companies. By the way This Dettol hand-wash cost me 65tk.
Next I bought this ensure milk for my mother. It's an export product. It's cost value of 706tk.
Last few days I was thinking of making a pound cake. To make a cake I need baking powder. I bought this baking powder at cost of 60 tk. Then I asked for a memo.

Baking powder is commonly used to make cakes. I have seen many of your recipes. I guess you bought baking powder to make the cake. My mother buys baking powder every month to make cakes.

Be it handwash, or a face mask, or a sanitizer, etc you may not get discount during this COVID-19 pandemic. It's all about supply/demand. As the demand has surged to an all time high, unless Govt subsidize these items, you can not expect the companies to sell at a cheap rate. They will try to profit from such items, as they see business in such a situation.
That said, I get those at a reasonable rate in my locality. Although price is different as compared to what it was one year back, but if I check and compare it hardly a 5% difference and that is acceptable.
I hope you will make a sweet cake with those ingredients that you bought today.

I am not expecting any discount. But In the time of crisis you have think they should have continue the rate which was 4 months before.
Where our government help those big business institution by giving them very low interest loan to stable the market in this time of crisis.
Yes, you are right. Here our Govt has also directed to all such companies to not hike the prices and stick to the genuine rates(standard rates of normal days). Hence they are following, otherwise, for a common man, it would be difficult to go through such tough times.
