A Journey To My Village

Morning

Yesterday night we traveled to Dhaka by train. I passed a very cold and sleepless night. I couldn't sleep because the sit wasn't comfortable to sleep. So today I didn't need to wake up. We had a 7 hour journey by train. When the train was near to the station we were preparing to leave the train. We took all the baggages. We counted all the baggages and ready for get down from train. At 7am we reached Komolapur Railway station. We got down from train.

We were searching for kooli to carry our baggages. We found one. He demanded a decent fee for carrying our baggages. So we agreed. We started leaving the station.

We finally got out from railway station. We stand on a place. The kooli putted all our baggages. My paid his demand. The kooli became happy. He struggled so much thats why my father paid him extra tips. My mother told me to find a uber. So I opened uber app and gave the destination where we want to go. We will go to the Gulistan Bus Stand. I found one uber car. I confirmed it. After 10 minutes later the uber arrived. We putted all the baggages in the backside of the car. Then we got into that car. The car leaved for the destination.

We reached our destination after 30 minutes later. We got down from uber. The driver helped us to get our baggages. He is very kind and humble. My father paid his fair. We went to the bus station. My father went to the ticket counter. He bought tickets and came back. We got up in the bus. We took our seat.

The bus taking too much time. The passengers were angry. Most of the passengers get down from bus. The bus conductor is very greedy. He won't let the bus leave untill he feel all the seats. We had to wait a lot. After an hour later the bus leaved for Mawa Feri Ghat.

I was sitting beside the window. The window view was very beautiful. The road was new. It's very clean. I was observing the scenery. All these years everything changed.

We already traveled halfway to Mawa Ferry Ghat. I was very hungry. I didn't eat for 9 hours. I told my mom to give something to eat. She gave me a butter bun to eat. I had that butter bun. Then I drink some water. It's a long journey so I need to drink a lot of water. After an hour later we reached a toll station.

After two hours of journey we reached Mawa bus stop. Everyone hurried to get down from bus. We took our baggages and get down from bus.

We hired a kooli again for carrying our baggages. We were walking towards Feri Ghat. There were a lot of hotels and stores in Feri Ghat. We walked for 10 minutes.

We reached the Feri Ghat. The launches were about to leave. So we need to hurry. My father went to the ticket counter for buying launch tickets. After buying tickets we got up on launch.

The launch has two levels. One uper level and other is second level. We entered second level to sit. We were lucky that we got seats to sit. The launch was very crowded. I sat beside the window. I was taking the window view.

I wasn't getting good views. So I decided to go upper level of launch for good views. I went to the top of the launch. There was a lot of wind. The wind was created by the big waves of river. There was people like me who also love to see river views.

We were traveling by launch for an hour. I was a little bit hungry. So I decided to eat something. There was a lot of foods people selling. Boild egg, coconut beaten rice, jhalmuri, chanachur etc.

After two hours of launch journey now I can finall see the Ferry Ghat of my village. So I went down. We were getting ready. We took the baggages. The launch reached the Ferry Ghat.

Our uncle came to the Ferry Ghat to receive us. We all went home.
