A few days ago, after hearing the news that the extreme weather occurred after it rained in the village of my mother-in-law, I was surprised by a very large flood event than before, floods occur every year in the city of Aceh, including this village, MATANGKULI-LHOKSUKON from one of the hemispheres. Villages in the city are always flooded due to heavy rains causing the river to overflow over the edge of the embankment because the land of the residents' houses is too low from the river.

After getting news from my husband's chat from family relatives that flood waters are everywhere. We also went home to visit there because our house was not close we had to ride our motorbikes 1 hour away. On the way to enter the village restriction site I saw water everywhere, the flood has settled in the neighborhood of one of the residents in the village, it seems that the house has been emptied because the fear of the flood population is increasing, they move first.

The sky is a little cloudy, nature has not fully improved because of the flood, the flood water prevented me from walking and all the activities of the people because of the flood also crossed the road that I often pass to get to my mother's house and also the villagers often pass for activities as a traffic road daily, today this street looks very quiet on the street unlike the usual day it happens here.

I can't imagine with this condition, flooding occurs more than the arrival of waves that can disappear in a moment and come again because winter has not ended for a while because the rain will fall again making the villagers nervous about this weather. The water flows a little fast making the roads badly damaged, mainly due to the floods that destroyed our main road and the flood waters along this route that made our motorbikes have to turn around and look for other ways to take our journey.

Many villagers were restless and lost everything when their houses were flooded and had no time to save. But the case is different with children. The arrival of flood waters made the children in the village very cheerful, happy and not aware of their funny behavior when they were in the water because the children could swim and immerse themselves in the water as much as they wanted before the water receded. this is a habit for the children in our village.

When flood water enters their home environment, of course, children have the opportunity to swim and a suitable place to be used as a pool on the terrace of the house, they will celebrate their fun during the flood by swimming. Sometimes I am very worried about flood water being used as a pool because flood water is not suitable for health. This water is used for soaking because there is so much garbage that flows along with the flow of water that has not been understood by making their skin itchy/irritating and things that are not wanted to happen with this water.

The current condition is very bad in our village, the flood has not been contained here, but we are still very lucky after getting the news because the rescue team is around the flood disaster who is guarding this village tightly, we call them heroes in this flood disaster because not everyone has the ability to swim suddenly seeing the water in front of the house creates fear. Therefore, rescuers will have a very heavy duty when we need help and take them to an appropriate post or place of refuge.

Many of the residents have no place to stay because the flood washed away their beds and the houses were submerged by water, some of them had no place to live and sleep so they chose to go to evacuate to higher ground, of course a good place we call it a prayer room/Meunasah is a public place in the village.

During the flood time they have to be far from home to evacuate and bring supplies that can be saved to go during the evacuation, every village has good facilities and suitable for people to evacuate but I am very sad because during the flood and have to choose to evacuate every villager will have difficulty stabilizing the economy or growing the economy of course they are very difficult as long as the flood continues

They will run out of a lot of the previously earned economy if the flood doesn't go away for a few weeks I am very worried that their life will be very difficult because they have no job other than farming. Farming economy is only enough to live in the next few days, Of course they have to manage their finances with more attention to this condition, I hope they will soon get help or food in a refugee place and other comforts they need.
