HOW GOOD ARE YOU? BY SAHMIE

Hello everyone, greetings to you from my side of the world. My participation post for the "How good are you" contest, the Men's Champions League version.

TEAMS QUALIFIED:

Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris St-Germain, Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid, Inter Milan

TEAMS ELIMINATED:

Besiktas, RB Leipzig, Malmo, Dynamo Kyiv, Young Boys, Zenit St Petersburg, Club Bruges, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, Shakhtar Donetsk

WHO CAN STILL MAKE IT TO THE NEXT STAGE?

Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Barcelona, Benfica, Villarreal, Atalanta, Red Bull Salzburg, Lille, Wolfsburg, Sevilla

GROUP A

Man City and PSG are through to the next round with City making sure of the top spot after their comeback victory over PSG last matchday. Therefore, making this last group stage matches a mere formality.

GROUP B

Liverpool is the only team through as group winners so far, making this round of matches an interesting affair in this group. As any of Porto, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid can still make it into the next round going into this final round of group stage matches. The permutations are;

• AC Milan will have to beat group leaders Liverpool to have any chance
• ATM will have to win against Porto and except AC Milan to lose to Liverpool
• Porto must have to win against ATM to have any chance to make the next round.

GROUP C

Borussia Dortmund is the biggest casualty of the group stage(I.e if ATM, who currently occupy bottom in Group B can go through) as Sporting Lisbon sealed progression at their expense In the last round of matches. Ajax, the team with the joy to watch are going through as group winners.

GROUP D

Real Madrid and Inter Milan confirmed their advancement with wins over Sheriff Tiraspol and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively. But there is still an interesting battle, as Inter and Real Madrid will be going head-to-head for who claims the top spot currently occupied by Real Madrid.

GROUP E

Bayern is already confirmed as group winners, but the second qualifying spot is still very open for Barcelona or Benfica, with Barca facing an uphill battle of group stage finale away to leaders Bayern Munich. A defeat or a draw for Barca and a win for Benfica against Dynamo Kyiv will see Barca head to cadet championship the shape of the Europa League.

GROUP F

Manchester United qualified for the knockout stage with a win away to Villarreal in the last round of matches, sealing the top spot after Atalanta were held to a 3-3 draw by Young Boys.
Atalanta faces Villarreal in their final game to fight for the second qualifying spot as they go head-to-head

GROUP G

The only group with everything still to play for, as the most intriguing of all groups reaches its finals. Lille finds themselves at the top as we head into the final round of matches, but could still miss out as just three points and the simplest of goal difference separates all four teams.

GROUP H

Current champions Chelsea and Juventus are through to the last 16, but the top spot is still all to play for among them. Chelsea will be hoping to go on as group winners, in other to do that, they will have to match or better Juve's result in this last round of games.
