Why does there have to be a president?

I am delighted to welcome you all to my blog, it's my pleasure to participate in this amazing contest hosting in the steem Indonesia community, every society needs someone to governing the affairs of the country where law are enacted in which citizens of a country are expected to follow rule and regulation in order to allow peace to reign.

What does the election of the Head of State (Election) mean to you?

In Nigeria, Independent National electoral commission (INEC) is the only agency that control the election process where citizens come out massively to vote the candidate of their choice that will rule them for the period of 4years.

The citizen also re-elect such person if they enjoy how he or she manage the affairs of the country. Election in Nigeria is transparency where eligible voters can see with their two naked eyes when the voting process is going on.

Election are conducted for different purpose which include:

• To change government due to bad governance of the country

• Poor management of public fund or corruption that hinder our economic development.

• Unavailability of basic amenities such as school, healthcare centre, road and affordable clean water.

Why does the president have to exist?

Welfare of every citizens is very important and is also the responsibility of president to protect life and properties of the citizens, president need to exist because they are the leaders who represent us at United Nation (UN) conference and others meeting with international countries.

We need president to represent us in another country in order to build strong relationship for the benefit of everyone particularly in terms of economy. Every citizens cannot control the affairs of a country at the same time, we need to elect a responsible leader who will always take quickly action and response to our needs.

What are the criteria for a Head of State/President that you like?

The candidate who want to be a president must meet the following criteria:

• It's compulsory for every candidate who want to be a president to have at least secondary school certificate. Education is very important when it come to presidential position because he or she will be able to read and write.

• He must belong to any political party, a party that's well registered with independent National electoral commission (INEC).

The party will conduct primary election among the register member to select only one candidate that will represent them during the general election.

• The candidate must be 40years and above because they consider him or her as an aspirant who knows what is right and wrong and also have difference experience within the society.

Conclusion

Election allows citizens to choose the right candidate and this can only be done by voting at polling unit, we know the power of voting, that's why majority of citizens who where in long distance travel down to their state to vote the right man.
