Hello everyone, it's been a while sincr my last post due to exams. I'm done with the 2nd phase of my exams and I've decided to share with us an association every UNN student ought to join while in school

UNSA means University of Nigeria Student Accelerator. It is an organisation founded by a final year Engineering Student, ***Godwin Obi*** who of course, graduated the best in his faculty. The association was founded out of the zeal to expose fellow students to opportunities which are available for students during their stay in the university. It is an association comprising scholars and intellectuals from various faculties and departments in the University of Nigeria Nsukka. The association has proven to be resourceful as no ongoing opportunity pass them by. They keep their members abreast with both international, national, state and local opportunities that keep rearing up as the day goes by. UNSA admits basically 1st class students who's Cgpa are within the range, and for medical students who have passed their 2nd MBBS exam. They are all about brains and creativity, thinking out of the box. In UNSA, you realize that first class students can also be business minded, millionaires, extremely creative and solution providers to world problems. It is an association meant to motivate freshers and old students alike to be all rounders and still excel academically.

I learnt about UNSA through Ogbodo Charles Uchechukwu, a very good friend of mine currently in his 4th year as an Engineering. He basically recruited 90% of UNSA members when the association was still virgin. Currently, he is the President after Godwin graduated and handed over. He has always been working hard for the future of the association. He introduced me to the association and I joined their whatsapp group chat having met with the requirements. One night, a meeting was held where the constitution for the association was to be drafted and I was invited to represent my faculty. After hours of deliberation, we all came to a conclusion and the current constitution was drafted. I procured my UNSA T-shirt few weeks ago and they had their first annual convention last month but I couldn't attend due to exams.

UNSA helps build you both academically and socially. It prepares and equips you with necessary world skills needed to excel both in school and the world at large. Scholars like Chibuzo Ndubuisi, Dickson etc who have emerged first positions in the Peter Drucker Essay Challenge have held different symposia for UNSA members on how to wield the pen. In essence, "a pen is mightier than the sword" as they say.

Godwin Obi, not only an academic deity but also an internationally recognized entrepreneur whose team emerged top 10 in the Rockefeller Acumen and gained a $20,000 grant sponsorship from the organisation, having being exposed to the world out there, has put in place necessary settings to keep UNSA members on their toes. These include the creation of sub teams of 4 persons where you work and develop something within one year. It basically helps you become a better version of yourself each day. You get to learn from other scholars because "iron sharpeneth iron". I'm a full fledged member of UNSA and I recommend every student who wish to excel and also tap into other opportunities should join.

I believe all campus students desire to not excel in academics but also have a level playing field to compete in the world at large. UNSA is the home for you. For freshers, get yourself a first class Cgpa and you're automatically a member, the older ones should work to raise their Cgpa to the required level in order to be admitted.
