Make Them Smile Contest- 3rd Edition : Buying Boiled Groundnut | 25% to @null

The idea of selling on the streets has been with us since the days of old. The people who sell on the streets are mostly people who won't be able to afford to pay a store rent so they just find a corner of the street where the won't be disturbed and display their merchandise. Some of them rally themselves and go beg the town mayor to please give them a spot to display their merchandise on the street.

Nevertheless they are the go to sources of most of what we need. They sell at better prices because the people in stores add taxes to what they sell. Street vendors treat their customers better to have them coming and they are always glad to see a customer come to them.

The street vendor I supported is an old woman selling boiled groundnuts. I didn't her name so I'll just refer to her as Mami.

Mami sells boiled groundnuts which she buys freshly harvested from framers, she them boils then and comes and sell on the street near the high way directly opposite the Molyko Omnisport Stadium (location). As you can see from above she has a table with two trays of ground there. There should be an umbrella covering the table but she said she's yet to put it.

Arriving there to buy groundnuts, Mami greeted me with a smile and asked me to be patient while she serves the other customers.

Mami sells a tin cup of her Groundnuts 100frs (0.6 steem). Her parceling strategy is when you buy just a little of maybe 100frs or 200frs, she parcels your groundnuts with a paper but when you buy alot of 300frs and above, she parcels with a plastic nylon. This is because she can get paper anywhere and also paper is cheap. But nylons are more expensive to buy that paper. So I guess that's one of her strategies to cut down cost.

I bought groundnuts for 200frs (1.2 steem) from Mami and she parceled it with a paper.

She explained to me how the prices of commodities especially food stuff are on the rise now. So the face that she still maintains the usual price for her boiled Groundnuts reduces her profits. Nevertheless she was grateful I bought from her.

I've given the location, patronize Mami anytime you can with just 0.6 steem. She'll be very very happy.
