There are two sciences to study Weather, I remembered about this lesson when I was in college, namely Meteorology and Climatology. Climatology is the study of changes and characteristics of the Atmosphere, but it is not the same as Meteorology. Climatology studies more about things that happen with the process of weather changes, climate changes that occur in the atmosphere, so that this study can be applied to the interests of development progress in each country, both physical development and economic development, as in Indonesia this science is a lot. used in business development in the field of Agriculture, Plantation and tourism business.

The origin of the word climatology comes from the words klima and logos, from the Greek, which means the slope of the direction. This science will study the picture of climate change, study the nature and character of climate and weather, why the climate in many places in the world is different, why...? The data obtained in the form of statistics will be applied to the interests of human life activities in each place.

Climate is a change in weather caused by phenomena in the atmosphere, events in the atmosphere, these changes will be recorded from day to day, short-term and long-term changes. This research will obtain data on changes in weather and climate, so that conclusions will be drawn about the characteristics of climate and weather in one region with different time periods.

With the data on climate change in one place, it is possible to plan the development process and economic development can be planned in accordance with these weather changes, and to be applied and utilized in human activities to make a business plan.
